On the Certification of Citizenship form you fill out with a C&R application it says that "The person certifying to citizenship must complete form." There is a slot for "Name under which the application was filed," which I'm sure is my name, but under that there is a slot for "Name of person certifying to citizenship." Is that me, of do I have to have somebody else certify me as a citizen and if so, who would that be, a notary public, CLEO, other?

Thanks.

I'm fairly certain that that is you as well.

(shaking head at the futility of you certifying yourself that you are who you say you are - however this is the .gov so just shake your head hard to try to rattle things back into a logical realm & move on :D .)

It's all you. Yeah, you certify your own citizenship. No, it doesn't really make sense.

(I am a C&R license holder.)

One more question, am I supposed to sign the form, the signature block is on the top of the second page and looks like it could be for either me, or the CLEO to sign, doesn't say which but it has a block for "title" after the signature.

Thanks again guys.

You do sign the form, but not having one in front of me, I can't remember if the signature block was at the top. Your title will be "collector."
