I am glad that he was good with the man who had the gun in his vehicle and did not call in the SWAT team, JANET RENO, the FEDS or the National Guard on him! I am glad that he was good with the man and excuse my other sarcastic remarks on Reno - ugh! Thank him for me!

I know of HIT and MISS county sheriffs... I read about that ILK on other gun boards.

By unlicensed I mean he did not have a license to carry the firearm, no CCW permit. Even if he have a permit, Iowa does not recognize Missouri's CCW permits. He was out of luck no matter what.

My job nor my beneifts are worth my rights....although I honestly dont see my Sheriff following thru with any such orders. However every 4 years I get the chance of getting a new boss.....so if that does occur and an order is given....well, Im unemployed. I could easily work at half a dozen factories and make MORE money then I do now.

Plenty of the guys I work with get foaming at the mouth, foot stomping, building burning, outraged at some of the crap thats going on (such as the Cav Arms deal, NOLA etc).....the thin blue line does NOT extend to those infringing on my rights. If I walked in to my best friends house and ordered him to hand me his guns.....well I would expect to get shot.

He would expect the same.
