Update On New Orleans Cops Gun Confiscations

Rather than look to the courts for a solution, the patriotic citizens of New Orleans need to tackle this problem themselves—and sooner rather than later.

I grew up within 115 miles of New Orleans in a small Ms town and have spent a good bit of time there. Official corruption has always been a way of life in the Big Easy, and nothing about the place surprises me. N.O. is a big mob town yet I never see reference to this fact. My advice is to avoid it.

I intend to continue to avoid the entire state. Basically it appears that it is a "land of the lawless".

Do you mean the same ones who re-elected Nagin?

Most people can’t admit they’ve been had by a regime that is basically made up of thieving, morally decrepit psychopaths who come in the night to steal, kill and destroy because it’s too humiliating and painful.

Moreover, it’s too much work to try to extricate one’s self from the machine of government now.

Gordon, thanks for what you're doing for us gunowners.

Now here would be an interesting avenue. If you're an FFL holder, such as a C&R, you're required to inform F Troop of any theft. What these police are doing appears to be theft, eh? So what if some nice C&R holder had a gun confiscated and sicced the ATF on them? Could be an interesting tactic...just sayin', mind you.

Yale, PM sent with copy of pertinent post so you can read at work.
Thanks, I got it. Man, I will be so glad when I have cable back and hurricane season is over. Having to use work or library computers is so restricting. Most of my regular sites are blocked by software which restricts anything to do with Social Networking, Weapons or just about anything else.

I read the post. Orleans cops tell a homeowner standing in his own yard that they know it's not illegal to open carry but that he shouldn't because it confuses them. Personally at that point I would have ignored them and gone back to cleaning up my yard. I don't have to listen to anyones opinions when I'm not doing anything illegal.
