Are their any good bolt action rifles in 7.62X39 besides the CZ carbine. i really want to combine bolt action accuracy with massively available ammo.
besides the CZ carbine
man,i can't understand why people say these things.even if all of the imported x39 ammo were to stop coming it would still be available, more expensive but available.all of the major american manufactures have been making it for years and will continue to do so.as long as there is a demand, they will continue to do so,even if that demand were small.
have you ever bought any american ammo before?it would be just like that and still not be as expensive as other ammerican ammo/calibers.
I built rifle based on a stevens200 action using a 1/15 twist 26" shilen match bull barrel, a leupold 36x scope and a choate stock.

Ive seen 308 and 223 group really well.. Rangerruck shot sub moa 62gr out of his 223 at 100yrds.The massively available ammo you speak of is all russian stuff, which is inherently less accurate than most bolt action rifles. Even in a great rifle Wolf is never going to be shooting 1.5 moa or less.

Okay maybe 7.62 may not the best [don't really care though ] but between 7.62X39 and 5.56 which has more killing power at greater distances than 100 yards.
