Who hears gunfire at the stroke of midnight?

What state and/or country do you live in?

Definitely heard some here in Augusta, GA :uhoh:

Heard one very weak pop could have been a firecracker. Pretty quiet here in SW MO.

my house is a 10min drive from a range with 40 lanes away, i allways hear gunshots on new year, they are even legal.

otherwise, in switzerland, you almost never hear gunshots for celebration, but our national holiday, 1 of august, and new year is a bit diffrent.. most of the time even legal.

Sounded like an artillery barrage. I didn't realize I'd rented an apartment on the Somme. Explosives and gunfire. I can almost smell the cordite.

All things considered, it wasn't such a bad way to usher in the new year.

Of course, my hands were too full of Cuervo and cigar to do any shooting myself. I mostly content myself with not being hit by stray rounds returning from low orbit.

I'm floating off the coast of Egypt right now, off port Suez. There was a bit of gunfire last night :) Heard a few fully auto bursts, as well as many small semi/single shots.

I was on duty (security officer), on the bad side of town and heard lots of semiauto gun fire, rifle and handgun. The cops where going every which way. Saw and heard lots of fireworks too.

Fireworks, Dammit

Started here at 7pm and DID NOT let up until after 1am - maybe closer to 1:30am/ In my neighborhood we had THREE simultaneous firework displays in a
3 mile radius. Then at 11pm, guys started setting 'em off in the parkinglot of my apt complex.

Ft Bend County's standard seem a bit laxer than Harris or Galveston Cty's. :scrutiny:

I live in Los Angeles. I think the amount of gunshots actually went down last night because it was so cold.

I heard a few solitary pops but not sure if they were gunshots because I didn't hear the supersonic crack afterwards. Probably not gunshots because nobody in LA just fires 1 shot. Now if I heard a whole string of shots, maybe....

I was in a club. Couldn't hear anything over the band. A football player did clutch his leg and hobbled for the door I wonder.....

I (living in the middle of nowhere KY) heard nothing but my own gunshots, there werent enough though, my brothers had hit the booze to hard for me to let them handle guns. Lots of firecrackers though:D

I heard a single gunshot at 9pm PST. It could have been for something else. I fell asleep at 10pm and woke up at 7pm. Yeah, that was lame, but I'm sick. I'm just glad that the main symptom is tiredness.

Since they passed a law making firing a gun into the air a felony, I haven't heard any gunshots. They did that after a little girl was killed by someone doing that.
