Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for this

"DRT "Dead Right There!" This ammo has been hush, hush for over four years, during the testing phases, the elite military and law enforcement agencies couldn't believe what they were seeing as they shot the DRT ammunition. Now it is the only ammunition used to protect high profile individuals. The most amazing part of this ammunition is the compressed powder core, as it passes into the body it dissipates causing instant death. This dynamic, advanced, powder core bullet does not exit the body making it ideal for crowd control, home defense, or close quarter combat; killing them instantly without exiting and injuring an innocent bystander. The core powder is as fine as talcum powder. When it contacts the organic target, the powder is spinning at such a high rate it instantly disperses, resulting in Instant Death. A full 100% energy dissipation as the bullet totally disappears into invisible dust. This is the most accurate and deadly ammo we have ever shot. This ammunition is used world wide to protect citizens and eliminate terrorists. DRT, Dead Right There!"

LOL!

I knew that CTD was full of cheap not-so-great products, but even so this description is ridiculous.

Dynamic Research Technologies, DRT
.223 79gr bullet, frangible bullet
Core is powdered metal and disrupts in target immediately.

I have observed butchering two animals shot throught the shoulder/spine with heavy conventional .223 bullets (62 gr hunting bullets). It is hard to imagine me needing a more frangible bullets unless I were in personal protection in an urban environment worried about over penetration (shooting a hostage taker with bystanders behind him, may be) AND I AM NOT.

Expensive small niche market item.

Instant Death! Yowza! After my winnings from the Nigerian Lottery come in I'm totally going to pick some up!

The perfect reason for not keeping one in the chamber:eek: the stuff is so dangerous I wouldn't even want to rub one on myself.

There must have been some testing done prior to being released to the market. We should all contact the manufacturer and request the results of any test. I'll send an e-mail now.

Read the 5 customer reviews they're hilarious.

Got to love the one where the dude bought ten boxes, to find sixteen missing primers. Had to be fun, "What's this dirt i nthe box?" Oops, it's flammable powder, sorry mate . . . <g>

So, all this is is sintered lead in a metal jacket? Like no one lese thought of this before?

CDT is usually much better than that (and with their English, too).

Cheaper than Dirt quoted Dynamic Research Technologies info on the DRT.

I imagine the majority of CTD customers are of the mall ninja type who salivate over terminology like what DRT stated in the product description.

Tactical, spec-ops, evil black, CQC, cop killer bullets, and phrases of the such are adorned by the socialy inept gun owners of the world who CTD seems to go after.

In my observations the dirt in Cheaper Than "Dirt" must be full of radio active particles cause their prices ain't cheaper than any dirt I've ever seen.

I would be very interested to see the results in some gelatin. I would also like to see this round versus Federal Sierra Matchkings in an accuracy contest. Because I like to see liars get caught.

Dudes, read the review, it DESTROYED a cantaloupe!!! A CANTALOUPE man!!! Do you know how much power it takes to destroy a small melon?!? A normal .223 would probably just bounce right off. Maybe make a little hole that would barely be noticeable. But, but, but, these rounds DESTROYED it! They should be outlawed!!*!@!!

Hold it. Doesn't any centerfire pretty much destroy a cantaloupe? :D

I'm almost ashamed to shop there now.

I usually pick up surplus stuff like ammo cans, wool blankets, BDUs or other used military clothes (good hunting gear for cheap), maybe an e-tool, etc.

The only ammo I ever bought was 7.62X39 because it was a good deal.

I feel dirty after seeing this now. :D

Not only is this stealth ammo (hush, hush), but it's so good, the ammo alone is able to protect individuals - you need neither firearms nor human agents! Now, this is some good stuff!!!

Gives new meaning to 'secret service.'

Has ctd raised the semi auto pistol mags to $150.00 yet --
They were the absolute worst gougers duing the klinton ban era

Maybe that's the dirt that they're cheaper than.

This round inspires me to market a new product that I myself have designed and built. It has been extensively tested by me and Mike next door, so you know it is as described. Trust me. We tested at a range of 1500 meters against not only melons, but vegetable-type objects as well. The results are....well, just unbelievable!

The round is a tertiary kill design (three ways to kill ya). Using solid rocket fuel as propellant, the first deadly dude is a tungsten kinetic kill bullet. Traveling at hypersonic velocity, a hit at any part of the toughest melon caused massive hydrostatic shock and vaporized said melon. This bullet also defeats up to 12 inches of Chobham armor, acting as a vehicle for the secondary mechanism...a metallic hydrogen core. Upon entering a soft body, the hydrogen destabilizes and converts to fuel, expanding rapidly and causing overpressure to surrounding tissue and organs. This should suffice to put a Tango up, not down. Should this fail to kill a hearty bad dude, the third stage will. It is a micro-piezo spark generator housed in the vehicle base. Micro-seconds after the hydrogen is released the spark ignites it, creating a Hindenburg effect (good name for the round!) The military has tentatively adopted it as the BLU .5.

Instant vaporized, burnt melon!

Dead, deader, deadest.

Yours for only 10% of your net worth (Pre-Obama dollars).

Sheesh. Must be time for my shot or something...
