Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for this

I especially like how Instant Death is capitalized like that. What a joke, it's almost sad.

Let's see, "Is anyone really dumb enough to fall for that?"

To answer that, answer these questions:

1. Are there thriving psychic hotlines in this country?
2. Are there thriving bingo halls?
3. Are there lots of viewers of "Deal or No Deal"?
4. Are there plenty o' gun-hating Democrats?

You get the idea.

Take note of the two salesgirls on the DVD

Wow, nice rack on the deer that was on just before them...

at least I know the answer to "What round for cantaloupe?"

Reading the DRT ad in "Cheaper Than...." I thought of those "Extreme Shock" ammo ads with the guys in ninja suits and lighting bolts and ball'o'flame explosions in the background, or of the weird packaging on the specialty shotgun rounds--Door busters, Flechettes, Dragon's breath. $50.00 for a box with a plain white label with just type on it? They should at least have a box with a painting of Yog-Sothoth breaking through the transdimensional gateway with the indescribable Colour Out of Space following.

And just how do you propose they print the Colour Out of Space onto the paper wrapper with a dot-matrix printer?

Howie Lovecraft ripped "The Colour Out of Space" from Ambrose Bierce's "The Damned Thing," anyway.

CTD ought to have marketed the DRT ammo as less likely to overpenetrate all the walls in the trailor park.

If they can make magic ammo, surely they have magic printers. May have to use laser though. Great HPL reference at any rate.

P.S. Just watched the video w/ the Mandrell sisters. Wow, Louise filled out since I've seen her. :what:

Of course, this was the same guy that swore a buddy of his handloaded rounds for his .44mag. with solid steel bullets that he turned down on a lathe and then had case hardened.

Why is that hard to believe? That is how Barrett manufactures their new .416 round. Not sure about the case-hardening part, but they do machine down solid pieces of metal to make the rounds instead of casting them.
It's not that the bullet was turned on a lathe, but the fact it's supposedly solid steel and hardened to boot. Me thinks that would be a little tuff on the rifling.

Oh and Future Weapons is so full of sh*t that ex-SEAL guy should be wearing chest waders. It's worst than those car shows were company X's products are the bomb because the show got them free.

I would be very interested to see the results in some gelatin. I would also like to see this round versus Federal Sierra Matchkings in an accuracy contest. Because I like to see liars get caught.

Didn't you see the review saying they group better than Black Hills match. :scrutiny: I want to be first in line not to order this product.

I'd be afraid that I may drop one on my foot and have to have my foot amputated. At "drop velocity" they wouldn't kill you dead, they would merely wound you. Something that deadly should only be sold to highly trained Mall Ninjas with steel toe boots..

My e-mail sent at 3:25PM 3-3-09 Dynamic Research Technologies requesting testing completed and the results on the DRT round

I e-mailed the company and requested info on .40 cal. Acording to the company they are about ready to start shipping 40 S&W. There should be also be some data and pictures posted on the web in the next few weeks. Currently the gel block tests that they are doing are showing about 8" of penetration when the core starts to open and the core is dispersed an additional 4-5" for a total of 13". Average diameter is about 3". It can not hurt to try some. Sounds real mean.

it is sad that some of you are actually giving serious thoughts to this JOKE of a round....

lathe-turned rounds

The turning on a lathe doesn't bother me. It's the case hardening bit that I thought was funny. The guy was always awe struck when he talked about it.

Well, anyone believing you want a round to be harder than the barrel one intends to launch it down . . .

But, some are more humorous left to their own devices.

(Presuming they light those devices off on a different part of the line, honest--been one too many times on the pistol silhouette line with that dude with the .41mag using only wheel weights . . . )

I think it was P.J. O'Rourke who pointed out to a pol extolling the virtues and wisdom of the American public, that it was this same public who made "Funkytown" a #1 hit and bought millions of copies. Or maybe that was me.

this is my new go to round!! I had my ar-15 that I got a super good deal on parts and built myself out of dpms and rock river parts kits and built myself a sweet (probably one of the best) m4's out there!! now I use this m4 for everything. including coyote hunting that's how good it is, but the problem I've always had was cheap ammo would not reliably keep them down, so i tried this stuff and WOW!!!! one coyote was actually behind a tree and the bullet did as advertised!! went straight through the tree and EXPLODED in that yote!!! I would link to pics but it probably wouldnt be allowed its so gory. I'm buying 2k rounds to save up for when obama tries to take our stuff away or when the SHTF. it will go super good with my expensive blackhawk! tactical vest!!! now I'm really hardcore!!!! oh and I really got one hole groups at 300 yards with my 4x acog!!!!!!

Alright, who put in this review?? made me lol.

From a customer review on cheaperthandirt.com:

"Compared this ammo along with Black Hill's MK262 over the weekend out of a LWRC M6A2 14.5". Gropings were about the same at 100 and 200 yrds."

He needs to keep both hands on the stock.

I'm not even gonna touch this one.............

Restorer, shhhhh....

You posted this in a public forum?!?!???

Are you nuts? Congress is gonna outlaw 'em just the way they did with all-plastic guns that can--

whoops, could, if they existed, which they don't-- :neener:

go through metal detectors.

The law exists; you can look it up. :barf:

In the mean time, don't get caught with any metallic hydrogen. ;)

This is the most utterly ridiculous thing I've ever seen. I'd never spend money on this cr. . . Damn, those chicks on the box are HOT!

*reaches for wallet*

Wonder if the old guys said the same thing about hollow points or Hydra Shoks when they first came out. Before I call them ridiculous I'll check out the test results they intend to put on the web.
