Hey there,

I plan to add to my Glock a trigger over-travel block and wanted to see what kind of experience you folks have had with them.

I have a 3.5 lb. connect that works great and makes the weapon fun to shoot so I wanted to take up some of the travel.

Anyone install and use one of these? Was it worth it?

Regards,
Roger

Best thing ....... is to install the "Rocket 3.5 lb Connector" from Ghost. For OVER_TRAVEL

This type of Glock connector has an Over travel "tab" that NEEDS adjustment to the particular Glock it will be installed in. You can eliminate ALL the over travel of the Glock trigger with this part.

It does require some knowledge ........and because you are working on the fire control assembly of the weapon .......it is best to know what you are doing !!!! The website has detailed instructions that you can read BEFORE you buy.

Good luck !!

JF.

there is one that clamps to the trigger group. i stumbled onto it and can't remember the site. it can't be hard to find. i limit my over travel with a shorter trigger return spring. glocks are fun, have some.

Lone Wolf Distributors Ultimate Trigger Stop (LWD-UTS) gives you a competitive edge by completely eliminating Glock trigger over travel. Trigger over travel is defined by: "The amount of rearward movement after the firing pin has been released". The results of eliminating trigger over travel (wasted movement) are; smoother trigger reset, faster doubles, faster splits and overall premium trigger performance.

The LWD-UTS includes a new style trigger housing with ejector, polished trigger stop and Allen Wrench for adjustments. This drop in part replaces your current trigger housing. The easy to follow instructions allow you to completely remove your trigger "over travel" in seconds. No gunsmithing is required. The LWD-UTS allows you to "turn it on or turn it off" at will.

Available for all Glock pistols but highly recommended for plinking, target or competition use only.

LWD-322 fits all Glock 9mm pistols G17, G19, G26, G34.

They are not recommended for carry or self defense. One bit of grit in the wrong spot will disable the gun.

This is just a fun gun. Anyway, is there anyway to limit the amount of travel forward of the sear?

What I mean is if you pull the trigger and then rack the slide you only to let up the trigger a small amount and it will engage the sear and be ready to fire again... however, the trigger itself with travel a lot further forward than needed to engage the sear.

As far as I understand, and I don't know much about Glocks (I just got this), the over-travel block/set screw, eliminates the travel AFTER the trigger is fully depressed.

Is that right and if it is, is there a way to limit the distance the trigger travels forward?

Thanks...

Whoa! VERY NICE but perhaps TOO NICE.

I wish I could afford it (justify it). Thanks for naming the phenomenon for me. Now that I think about it, I'm really not much concerned about the over-travel. It's hardly anything. It's the pre-travel that bothers me.

I read that a competition trigger spring and a 4# firing pin spring will make things a little nicer. I also saw a mod that drilled a little set screw into the trigger assembly that eliminated pre-travel. I think for right now I am going to go with a competition trigger spring, 4# spring, and the decal grips.

Lord willing this will satisfy me and I won't HAVE to pay 250 for a trigger assembly!

Thanks for the suggestions though guys.

Yeah, you know that's what made me realize how much MORE pre-travel there was than what was needed. I actually learned that dry firing/practicing here at the house.

You know, I hated this Glock when I first got it. I preferred even my p89 over it! Haha...

But, I'm beginning to see the benefit in this particular weapon although I'm not real enthused about the need to pull the trigger before tear down. That seems a little stupid to me. It really makes me nervous actually but just because I've seen a few posts here where guys have shot themselves as a result of not clearing the chamber before pulling the trigger. Lord willing I won't ever do something that stupid but we're talking about me here! Haha

Thanks for tip Reaper.

I am not familiar with this device, but the set screw often seen in some 1911 triggers has been known to back out and prevent the sear from disengaging when the trigger is pulled. Be sure yours doesn't.

The Lone Wolf stop that Reaper showed in post #4 is the best I've seen. I've been using them for 2-3 years with no problem. Thousands of rounds, never a hitch.

I have one in my carry/IDPA G19 and have no worries about reliability.
