If you could have one shotgun, one pistol and one rifle, what would it be?

Rifle: Tikka T3 Lite Stainless 7mm-08
Shotgun: Browning BPS Hunter 20ga 28"
Handgun: Tie
a) Blackhawk .30 Carbine
b) FNX-40

Rifle would probably be a DSA FAL.
Handgun would be a either the SP-101 or a packable 9mm semi-auto.
Shotgun - I don't have a whole lot of use for. I'd take a 10/22 or CZ-452 .22LR in its place.

Here's my choice...I own all of them, shoot them often & are extremely reliable...

SHOTGUN = Mossberg Model 500 Persuader/Cruiser Shotgun, 20 Gauge, 18 1/2" Barrel, with Pistol Grip
46499.jpg

HANDGUN = Ruger GP100 .357 Mag 4" Barrel
1702.jpg

RIFLE = Winchester Model 94 - .357 Mag.

Shotgun: Mossberg Model 930 with two barrels.

Rifle: Colt AR-15 with several different caliber upper assemblies.

Handgun: Colt Government Model .45 ACP with .22LR conversion kit.

Mine are kind of boring...

AK-47

Mossy 500

CZ-75B SA in 9mm

Or

Winchester model 70 in 30-06

Winchester model 12

High Standard Supermatic Citation .22LR

I'd go for an over an under shotgun, 12ga, Browning Citori.
My handgun would be a double action, .38/.357. An older S&W or a new Ruger GP-100, 4" barrel.
My rifle would be a Sako 75, in .30-06.

Browning A5 Light 20
S&W 627 PC .357
CZ 452 American .22 LR

It don't cover everything but I could get by ............................!

Shotgun 12 g single....as virtually nothing can fail on these and these are not especially ammunition sensitive. And anyway many on the American frontier used either double or single shotguns and so it is a proven system under difficult conditions.

Rifle; a .223 AK (BKW) or a Galil Variant. Reliable operating system, and a commonly available round in a balanced system which can be used for hunting, SD and to irritate anti RKBA's people. Perhaps not all that suited for heavy game, but good enough to stay fed with if needed. And a mix of 5 rd and standard mags.

Pistol/Revolver; any good qaulity .357 revolver. Flexible in loadings, and can use .38 special (and in situations of very limited ammunition a revolver can in a pinch fire similar ammunition. Not that it is recommended but there have been places in the past and present where this is done under difficult conditions)

my current loadout is pretty nice:

Shotgun: Beretta A390
Rifle: R700 VTR in .308
Pistol: Springer Ultra Compact 1911

I'll play, and keep it simple:

Shotgun - Mossberg 500 combo (26" vent rib and 24" rifled slug barrels)
Rifle - Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 (or a VSSF in .308)
Handgun - 4-inch stainless Ruger GP100

i'll weight in --- shotgun - moss. 500at - multiple chokes - and multiple ammo
- for the fact i've got one that i have been shooting for over 20 years, given to me by my father that shot the gun for probably
20 years before me-

rifle- rem. sps tact. in .308 - good accuracy - 20" barrel-easy to carry,
easy to pack - plenty of punch at varable ranges - .308- plenty of
options for ammo, from varmint to big game

pistol- ruger blackhawk in .357 - and before i get raked over the coals
by you automatic guys - its freakin reliable -very strong frame-
you can shoot heavy to light .357 rounds - 38's and 38 pellet
shells - not to mention adjustable sights

Got to go with what I shot best...
FN Herstal 7 Round Police 12 Ga
Steyr Scout JC .308
Beretta 92FS (apologies to the Sig P232 thats with me 99% of the time and the HKs I don't shot as well...)

Oh, And David E, I do have 'em

Cool !

I'm always amused when someonem, after painstaking deliberation, lists the "perfect" choices and then it turns out they don't own a single one of them.

Rifle = Remmy 700 SPS Tactical in .308

Shotgun = Remmy 870 tactical in 20 gauge

Handgun = Ruger SP101 with 3" barrel, 357 mag

Rifle - Winchester carbine in 357 magnum.

Shotgun - Mossburg 500

Handgun -Sig 229 in 40 caliber.

Normal Life: 12 ga Browning BPS (pump); rifle > probably a good 22 rifle; handgun > probably a good 22 revolver (Colt Diamondback) based on where I live and what I am apt to do with a gun. The fact is, I would have a lot of trouble deciding and it would depend on the situation. I'm way past the 3-gun thinking.... One gun would be a 22 rifle.

Defense: Shotgun >12 ga Remington 870 Police; Rifle >Mini-14 in 223; Handgun >Glock 23 or I guess a 3" GP-100. All of which I don't care if I get them scratched or dirty.
