Does it bother you to buy more than one gun at once?
Is it something i should be really concerned about?
The only issues ive seen is being placed on govt lists and people thinking your buying for others?

I frequent gunbroker and collect sns guns my ffl charges 15 for the first transfer and 5 apiece after and most sellers will combine shipping. When dealing in guns that cost an average of 65 a piece buying 2 or 3 at a time really seems like the best idea. And ive done it like 6 or 7 times this year.

Whats your thoughts?

It bothers my wallet the most...that's why I've never bought more than one at a time.

The only thing that bothers me is the stupid federal provision that requires the reporting of the purchase of two handguns or more to the State police and the Justice Department.

Here is the provision I was whining about above:

Reporting the purchase of multiple handguns within a five-day period is federal law under Chapter 44, Title 18 of the United States Code. 18 USC 923(g)(3)(A) states:

"Each licensee shall prepare a report of multiple sales or other dispositions whenever the licensee sells or otherwise disposes of, at one time or during any five consecutive business days, two or more pistols, or revolvers, or any combination of pistols and revolvers totaling two or more, to an unlicensed person. The report shall be prepared on a form specified by the Attorney General and forwarded to the office specified thereon and to the department of State police or State law enforcement agency of the State or local law enforcement agency of the local jurisdiction in which the sale or other disposition took place, not later than the close of business on the day that the multiple sale or other disposition occurs."

Doesn't bother me. I've never bought more than 1 at the same time, but I've bought them within a few days apart.

As a gun store owner once told me of the reporting requirement:

"If you come in and buy a Kimber 1911, a Glock, a SIG, and an HK, then they're not going to care. If you come in and buy 5 Hi Points, expect someone to be in contact with you very soon."

Yeah, I get twice, or more, the beating from the old lady.......Otherwise, it doesn't bother me at all. Why should it?......chris3

Not at all... I buy most of my guns online and have them shipped to my ffl. U have to drive 35 mins to pick them up when they come in so I try to buy in multiples... It makes the drive seem worth it. :)

Yeah the reason i was curioius is i won a auction 4 guns through a local seller all 4 was just over 200 he refused to sell stating he only sells one at a time i never had this problem before the atf law doesnt bother me the can see them anytime they want there all still here

I've picked up ten firearms at the same time because I'm a cheapskate and wanted to minimize the cost per firearm FFL fees. However, I won't be doing that anymore with the BATFE forcing FFLs to report multiple sales in southern states. Not that it matters to me but it's none of their gosh darned business.

My max was eight transfers at once. That day I picked up my DP-28 semi, a Steyr M-95 long rifle, a coupla Mosins, a Turk, my Winchester '95, and I think some walk-in had sold an Arisaka or something and I bought that as a spur of the moment purchase. So eight guns on one amended 4473 call-in.

Back in the Bill Clinton Days i made a multiple gun purchase, had never had a hold on my Background check, until after the multiple purchase, everytime after that until Bill was long gone,

I was able to get a "deal" at the Grumpy Old Guys gunstore--a J.C. Higgins (a
Marlin clone 336) 30-30 and a Revelations (Western Auto's version of a Savage M 67) 20 gauge for $400 walk out the door price.

Like American Pickers, I sometimes find that "bundling" is the way to go.

Yes, it bothers me.

Having to fill out a 4473 bothers me. Having to submit to a background check bothers me. If your asking about what takes place after a multiple handgun purchase, yes, the fact that it triggers the 3310.4 form nonsense bothers me. Don't get me wrong though, I don't lose sleep over it. I'm not a tinfoil hat loon. I'm not worried what will happen, that I'm on some list or being watched or anything irrational. It's just another one of the gun laws and/or regulations that bother me. The anti-gun politicians, their asinine arguments, and the complicit media and all the lies bother me. The fact that most of America thinks all of this is OK, bothers me. Gun owners who are comfortable with infringement, bothers me.

End of rant here.

"If you come in and buy a Kimber 1911, a Glock, a SIG, and an HK, then they're not going to care. If you come in and buy 5 Hi Points, expect someone to be in contact with you very soon."

I don't think this is correct. When my dealer calls in a 4473, he never says exactly what gun I bought, just handgun or longgun.
