Hi Point paying for the advertisement? Are you working for Hi Point? Nothing personal, but this post is like the one you made back in April as well as August.
You said in April:
"Hey guys,i recently bought a jhp,i own a nmgc colt .45, was reading about the hipoint, after reading many reviews decided to try one out,so a little history im a stonemason for 30 years, had guns all my life, not forcollecting so much, like to shoot em.So i bought the jhp 169.00,like the weight, have put around 600 rds through it ball, wad cutter, jhp, all 230 grain different brands, its rated for + p and +p+ ammo, and gotta say no problems, none,i like the fact that the barrel is fixed to the frame its every bit as accurate as my colt. And freed up extra cash for more ammo. The worst thing in my opinion is the grips, kinda slick,as my hands are like leather. So far seems the more i shoot it better it gets,i will keep yall posted on its performance, for the price, made in america, its a great buy for anyone that is looking for an inexpensive dependable alternative to guns costing much more."
And in August:
"Hey guys, just wanted to give a report on my hipoint .45,Ive heard so much crap about this weapon i had to give my 2 cents, bought it,inspected it,took it out n shot it 600 rds,not one problem, kinda like the weight because it calms recoil, but it it every bit if not more accurate than my colt nmgc,i love it,im a stonemason i got bid hands and thats why i like the weight ,i like to feel what im holing, lifetime warranty, made in america, there may be some lemons like everything else but this one is just fine, plan on getting a hipoint carbine next.I guess my point is if you dont have 1000.00 to plunk down the hipoint is a decent choice based on my experence, and if gya run out of ammo its so heavy ya could smack em up side the head, they aint goin to et up,also makes a good hammer,ha ha,decent gun for those on a budget i can buy 5 or 6 of them for what ya pzy for some overpriced pretty .45s,reminds me of russian weapons, simple effective, indestructable, mike"
And today:
"Hey guys, figured id start a thread on the jhp .45.I have read many posts on them, listened to all the folks that look down thier noses at them, well im here to speak from experence,I own a National Match Gold Cup Colt, great firearm big price bought it in 1983 for 400 bucks,so I decided to try a hipoint .45 and I have to say its a reliable, accurate, heavy firearm.Ive put by now 900 rounds through it( the hipoint) and I cant report any problems, ive been a stonemason for 32 years my hands are like leather, the weight I actually like, the only problem so far is slippery grip which was solved by a houge slip on grip sock.I wish it had more capacity but its turned out to be a positive purchase, mabey I got a good one yall know there is a lemon in every batch it seems.I like the fact its american made, great warranty, and I dont think it looks bad, looks kinda big and bad to me,my colt is nice, clean lines shoots well, but I just wanted to let you guys know they are a good weapon, very reasonably priced, and agian made in america that still means something to me,so if your on the fence go for it im glad I did,by the way read the bio of the creator of the company its a good story, good luck guys, enjoyed talking to yall."
Hi Points are decently reliable, but are very top-heavy and not particularly ideal for carrying cocked and locked. They are not ergonomic and make a pretty bad carry piece. For target shooting on the cheap, they are reliable and decently accurate, definitely several notches above Lorcin/Cobra/Jiminez.
But, low-post Hi Point kings always make me suspicious - especially when the posts are so similar.
