My wife is an anti, but like most things it just takes time for her to find out she's wrong. She won't talk about it, but I think a friend of hers committed suicide in the past, which I guess to my wife means the gun got out of the drawer and murdered her friend in her sleep against their will.
When it comes up nowadays, I bring up my family's connection to firearms, memories I have of shooting with my father and grandfather, etc and that seems to help her understand a little more. Her bosses (husband and wife) were talking to me about shooting over a recent dinner... I think the more responsible gun owners she meets the less inclined she is to believe that only violent people have guns.
As long as she votes for pro-gun individuals, I'm not too concerned (as long as we don't have children).
