So what is the little shooter in your house getting for Christmas?

My 11 year old boy got his gift early.

This fall he got his first taste of trap shooting and had a good showing (hit 10 clays, not bad for an 11 year old first time with a scatter gun)

So I picked him up an 870 Youth 20ga. I was 12 when I got mine, so he's ahead of his old man already!

My seven year old daughter got a pink Daisy. I have always known them as Red Ryders, but after looking online its the "Model 1998." I'll have to shorten the stock a little.

ETA: She's "had" a little cricket for a few years, hasn't got it yet. One reason for the BB gun is to see how well she will listen before hearing protection is required.

Each of my three is getting a brick of .22. My oldest is getting sights for her 20ga. My middle child is getting a new scope for her 10/22. My youngest is getting a bow set up.

Not much left to get them really except for my youngest who only has a 22 and BB gun at this time. While my two daughters had rifles and shotguns in their rooms at his age, he has not shown the maturity for that so even his 22 stays locked away until I take him out.

My oldest needs a second gun rack for her stuff as she just added a Mossberg to her collection and my younger daughter is only wanting a new muzzleloader which is for next years B-day gift.

And she borrows mine sometimes too. (I love posting this to anti's)

My other who says "Why get a new gun? I out shoot your Marines with this one"

Christmas around here tends to look like a gun show with us making changes, adding parts, and getting guns every year, but this year I get the gun- or parts to build one.

Right on Target

Found some really high quality camo for my 7-year old grandson at Target, of all places. Pants, long-sleeve undershirt, and a long sleeve shirt for under 30 bucks total.

Mine got a cmmg 22 upper for her birthday this year to run on one of daddy's lowers.

Enough awesomeness for a 7yo for one year.

Merry Christmas everybody!

J.

I don't have any little ones anymore but my daughter is giving my 3 year old grand daughter a pink and stainless Cricket .22. Of course my son gave my grandson a Cricket when he was about 3 weeks old. I guess he couldn't wait. It's in the blood.
Merry Christmas folks.

I just hope mine comes soon! Due Jan 16! Can't wait to join this thread next year.

Last year we bought him/her a rifle - for our first Christmas after we got married a Marlin XT-22 Stainless which will go to our first when they get married (if they are interested...)

I don't know if it's an oddity now, but along with his rifle, he is setting a pound of powder, box of bullets, and a 100 pack of primers. If I did not live in rural Idaho, I would worry about what kind of trouble the school would raise for him and my self, I don't think it's common in to many places to give a 9 year old a pound of powder any more. Let a lone a 100 primers.

The gun stays in the safe, and the reloading supplies will stay in my reloading room, but they will be marked as his so that he will have his own components to load for his rounds.

I got my son 1,000 plated bullets for his 40 cal. My daughter is getting a new range bag. Marry Christmas to all.

My four year old got a marshmallow blowgun made of PVC. Working toward bb gun next year maybe.

9 and 8 year old both got a savage trophy hunter xp left handed youth in 243.
The regular stocks are coming for them, but not here yet. Will get them hydro dipped for them and that might be birthday present for them.

Merry Christmas

Awesome my first nephew is due at the end of February I can't wait his first rifle will be a cricket .22 I think three days old is not to early to start buying him guns :D

HI...

No guns or related stuff for my "little shooter" this year for 2 very good reasons.

First, he is 20 years old and has gotten a gun for Christmas every year for at least 10 years. A bunch of those were airsoft guns but the last few years have been real rifles as he has outgrown the airsoft stuff (all sold off).

This year his computer has been acting up so we got him all the components to build a new high-end gaming computer. Plus, he has been buying his own shotguns for a couple of years now...he seems to think quite highly of the Mossbergs, as he has bought two in the last year.

He turns 21 on Jan. 11, 2015. His birthday present will be a new Beretta 9mm handgun. It will be his first handgun of his own, although God knows he already thinks of mine as is, anyway.

He seems more excited when I buy a new handgun for myself than I am.
