What existing and/or new features (2 or more), would you like to see combined into a new handgun ?

To start with, I'd like to see 1911's and P-38's with 6" (or longer) barrels.
New guns (especially 1911's) and existing ones could use a new "drop in" barrel.:D

How about you ?:)

My fantasy handgun platform may not be much fantasy for too much longer. If Sig starts churning out more P320s with full range caliber conversion support, I may fill my safe with every caliber and compact model.

I like the idea of DA/SA striker firearms. DA/SA hammer guns have rather heavy DA pulls and too light (IMO) SA pulls.

It's already being made by Ruger. The 4 inch barrel SP101 .327 magnum.

Unfortunately his majesty De Blasio (Current mayor of NYC) expressly forbids it uless you jump through a million loops, pay a large sum of money, and then fight for it in court if you are denied.

Not quite in the vein oif the thread but......

A modern centirefire version of the lemat

I'd like to see a Walther PPQ M2 chambered in .45 ACP.

I'd like to see Smith & Wesson bring back the 3rd Gen 3913.

The Gen5 Glocks should be designed with interchangeable grips, so that you can put a 19/23 compact grip on a 26/27 subcompact frame. Create a new .45ACP Compact using the Glock 38 .45 GAP Compact.

+1 on this.

My dream would be a pre-war Colt Woodsman .22 pistol made to the same high standards they were then.

At an affordable price point.

Well since this is a Fantasy handgun thread...I would like to see Colt return to making DA revolvers like the Trooper Mk.V, Lawman Mk. V, Agent, and Detective Special.

Fantasy Land? I'd like a Walther TPH in .380 and a PPK in .357 Magnum please! ;)

In things that would actually be practical, a 5" barrel XDM tactical compact with a laser and small light molded directly into the frame. There's lots of 'wasted space' in most autoloader designs. There's plenty of room for batteries in the backstrap of many guns as an example.

"tactical" models with rmr slide cuts, threaded barrels and tall sights at just over regular model price. Pay more what it costs to make that way, rather than the same premium as if you'd bought a standard and modified it.

They do make 6" 1911's. They're not real common, and are generally pricey but they are made. Search "long slide 1911" you'll find them.

Me, I just want to see the Rohrbaugh R45 they were supposed to make a few years back.

A factory ruger bearcat with adjustable sights in a 5 shot 327 mag.

It will never happen as the cartridge is a flop but wouldn't it be cool?!

A CZ/Tanfoglio-pattern gun with a 1911 straight-pull trigger. Combine the 1911's superior trigger with the low bore axis of the CZs... ultimate gamer and home defense gun!

Easy.
A steel framed line up of .45acp pistols from Kahr.

I would trample old ladies on the way to the gun counter if a K45 Elite ever came out.
