I agree about the wood not holding up in harsh climates. That's why I applied three coats of Spar Urethane to the stock and forend (Per Lee Lapin's suggestion) since this picture was taken.

I sold the Surefire a few weeks ago and the Knoxx is spoken for as well. I like the walnut so much that I'm putting it on my other 870 too.
Well, I haven't had a chance to go shooting since I took the picture two days ago but I will be taking it out by month's end. I'm looking forward to shooting it without the Knoxx stock on it to see if I feel a need for a new recoil pad.
As for the lack of light, my shotguns aren't used for HD...
I decided to take off my Knoxx SpecOps stock and Surefire forend from my Marine Magnum and replace it with walnut furniture.

I have a stainless guide rod assembly and heavier (20#) spring in my G33 because I feel that the stock assembly is under-sprung at 17# for the 357SIG cartridge.
The finger grooves on my compact (G23) didn't fit me very well either so, my solution was to give it to my wife and buy a full size model (G31) to replace it.
G33 owner here. I own several GLOCKs and I don't see any abnormal wear on my sub-compact compared to my compact (G23) or full size (G31) models.

The G31's my next purchase and I expect it to be a nice companion to my G33. While 357SIG ammo is hard to find and expensive locally, I can purchase it online in bulk for just a bit more than 40S&W and considerably cheaper than 45ACP.
