    Ruger 45 LC Bisley

This was built for me by John Gallagher back in the 90's. He shaped the stag grips for me too.

    .243 Against 1/4 Steel Plate

I went to the range today to mess around with my .375 Model 94 and my Interarms .243. I took along my 1/4 steel buffalo target that I use for rimfire shooting. With the rimfires I shoot away and at the end of the day hit the buffalo with some white spray paint and it's as good as new. Not so...

    Best 45 colt combat revolver

This is mine. Model 25-5; cut to three inches, ported, round butted, night sights. Pretty well done by an unknown gunsmith. I picked it up at a local gun show for $500 OTD. I love it.

In Vietnam war when ARMY or Marines when out on Patrol

I was an 11 Bravo for six years in the '80's. 101st, Southern Command in Panama and 2nd ID in Korea. Couple of trips to patrol along the Honduran/Nicaraguan border, 21 months in Korea on the DMZ. We usually carried six 30 round mags in pouches on our LBEs and one mag in our rifles for 210 rounds...

"Starts with FOUR" Big bore snub nosed carry gun

...night sights. Unknown gunsmith. It would have cost me $1500+ to build this gun. At 15 yards it keyholes pretty bad with .452 SWC 255 grain Keiths (for my Bisley Blackhawk and 94 Trapper) but is still damned accurate, out to at least 50 yards. It is at least 1 MOA (minute of A$$****). I love it.

    Victorinox Pocket Watch

I know this may not be the appropriate thread or venue for this but I visit the site often and I respect the knowledge of a lot of folks here. I have a great Victorinox/Swiss Army Pocket Watch that I've had for 10+ years. It's engraved with a personal sentiment that makes it that much more...

What are you going to do with the Ruger/Gunsite Scout?

Perhaps I'm missing the point but I have a 25 year old Interarms .243 that will do most anything this fine weapon will do (within reason). And hell, I already own it. Whenever I see new products being offered with certain claims of dubious or at least debatable superiority I am reminded of Mr...

What revolver did author (MacLean) carry?

The SAA has always been my assumption. Are you reading "The Ranger The Cook and the Hole in the Sky?" I love that story. The ranger, Bill Bell, was known to Elmer Keith. He mentioned Bell on page 130 of "Sixguns". I think that's pretty interesting.

    1903A3 Natl ORD

...online which sums it up: Can you please give me a short biography of National Ordnance 1903A3s. I recently picked one up at a gun show ser.# 7239****. Are there reliability problems or other shortfalls compared to higher priced Remington 1903s of the same era? thank you Darren Answer...

    Glock is the best pistol.

...are the handgun equivalent to a beige Toyota Corolla. They're fine but they lack any sort of personality. The best handgun for you when the **** hits the fan is the NEAREST handgun to you. Glocks serve that purpose well for the most part but a lot of us like to have something else...
