G 30
I carry my G 30 .45 almost every day in an IW holster. Rarely, if IW carry is not an option I'll carry my P-11 in a front pocket. My P3AT is usually a pocket BUG, but occaisionally a primary pocket.
Larger guns can be carried almost all the time. I live in FL, and the G 30 disappears...
Now my definition of a single action - is a short trigger reset just like the 1911s.
"Single action" refers to what functions the trigger will perform. A true single action will only fire the weapon when pulled. A true double action will cock and fire the weapon. Therefore, a true DA...
For some reason I like the WW II movies the best. Saving Private Ryan, and the series Band of Brothers are amazingly good and probably very relistic. One I like that I don't think has been mentioned is "the Big Red 1". I thought Lee Marvin was very good. I also love the Duke and "Sands of...
Sights, will you ever be CCWing the weapon? If concealment is an issue, I'd go with the Glock 30. 10 + 1 in a very nice package. It's my daily CCW carry. Mild recoil - less than my all steel GI 1911. Plus I can use G 21 mags when not CCWing. I have a grip sleeve on a G 21 mag that makes...
I decided that I wanted to move up from 9mm to .45 ACP. I rented several guns at the range including 1911, taurus PT 145, and Glock 30 & 36. As a carry gun for me the Glock won hands down. G 30 was better than the G 36. I shot the G 30 better, faster and more accurately than the others. The...
I have an Uberti Cattleman 4 1/2" in .44mag. It shoots and looks great. I got mine about 18 yrs ago. If they have maintained the same quality over the years, I can highly recommend them.
Glock 30
It's my daily carry and favorite. I know you said 9mm but I decided to move up, and you asked for MY favorite lol. However I like my P-11 for pocket carry when I can't IW the G 30.
Nope
Here in South FL it's like summer carry about all year. I carry my Glock 30 IW under a polo or T-shirt all year. If I can't wear my shirt out, I pocket carry a Kel-Tek P-11 or 3AT. It's the same routine all year.
Kel-Tek
I don't know if you can get them in MA.
The P-11 is a small 9mm with a 10 or 12 rd mag (the 12 rd fits flush and used to be LE only but is now available to civilians). I pocket carry mine in a Jagwear pocket holster with a non-print panel in the front pocket of Docker style pants...
I prefer to carry IW. My primary carry is my Glock 30. When IW isn't an option, I carry my Kel-Tec P-11 in the fron pocket of Docker style pants, or shorts. If more discretion is necessary, or smaller pockets, I carry my Kel-Tek P3AT. I also carry the P3AT as a BUG.
You may detest ankle holsters, but if you try one you may find they are faster to draw from when sitting at a desk than trying to get into your pants pockets.
Well, I've tried both as well. I've been carrying handguns for about 37 yrs. 20 of those as a LEO. I've seen too many guys have...
Pocket holster
I detest ankle holsters. It is too difficult to get to your gun if you need it in an emergency. I carry a Kel-Tec P-11 in a Jagwear pocket holster with a non-print panel. It carries 12+1 9mm comfortably in the front pocket of Docker style, or dress pants. If you perceive a...
Here's the original question:
would/do you carry a DAO pistol with no safety for CCW?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi all,
I am considering purchasing a new S&W 3954 (9mm, DAO, no safety) for a CCW piece. Right now, the thought of...
I have no problem carrying my P-11 in the front pocket of Docker style pants and most of my shorts in a Jagwear holster with a non-print panel. I just don't see what I will be gaining with the PF-9. I carry my P3AT when the P-11 is too big or more discretion is necessary, but usually it's my...
