S&W 442 or 642. If you plan to carry something P-11 size, might as well go with the Taurus PT-145 or 745 as Hypnogator suggested.

Nah, I prefer my P11, more compact, lighter, accurate, +P rated, 100% reliable, best customer service in the business, true DAO, don't get no better. My P11 is just small enough to ride in a large pant pocket. That .45 doesn't look like it'd do pocket duty. I can carry it IWB, though, with its tuckable Rosen leather.

I prefer the HK P2000sk with the LEM trigger in .40 for a CCW gun. I dont think there is a better gun out there for CCW.

+1...in a IWB or fifth pocket on a pair of jeans. The Kimber Ultra Carry II in a shoulder holster would be my second choice.

Glock 30

It's my daily carry and favorite. I know you said 9mm but I decided to move up, and you asked for MY favorite lol. However I like my P-11 for pocket carry when I can't IW the G 30.

Taurus PT145, trijicon sights, tuckable iwb holster, extra mag in offside pocket.
Won a Glock at local match, chose the 30, got it and immediately put it up for sale. Fit me like a 4 by 4 post, grip too short, too fat, lousy trigger, bigger in every dimension than the Taurus and less reliable feeding flying ash trays. Would like Taurus to take the PT145 and make a PT110 in 10MM they would really have something then.

From the list: P-11

It's gotta be the P-11!

I've chosen the P-11, but it's a system that requires practice -- perhaps moreso than some other available choices, like the 9mm pistols from CZ. I'm so sold on the P-11, though, that I recently sent my slide off for plating, so I'll have a small, fairly powerful, and nearly rust-proof carry pistol.

Dirty Bob

My Bersa Thunder 45 works for me. Will it work for you? I do not know but it is worth a long look. Remember, I have many more expensive choices to choose from and I use the Bersa. Regards, Richard:D

So, the PT145 feeds Speer 200 JHP reliably? Interesting. What does it weigh? To replace my current .45 it'd need to be under 30 ounces. I ain't replacing my favorite IWB with any more weight than that. It is more compact, though, my .45 being a Ruger P90. But, at 33 ounces unloaded, the P90 is pretty light weight, if bulky.

Something to think about, anyway. I'll still pocket carry the P11 or my .38 special Taurus M85UL 98 percent of the time, though, so it might be a waste to buy another IWB .45.

Springfield XD 9 SC

10+1 w/ the pearce grips on the gun + extended mag of 15 rounds in other pocket.

Trijicon Night Sights w/ tucker texas heritage IWB.

Badger, I must ask, how do you plan to carry? If you're looking at true pocket carry then the Kahr PM-9, and Kel-Tec P-11 or PF-9 become your best choices in 9mm. If you're going to carry IWB, OWB, or otherwise, then you're size options open up considerably. Based on the measurements you list, I'm guessing you plan on pocket carry. Of the three true pocket pistols I listed, I really liked my KT P-11, until I discovered the even smaller, and lighter P3AT, which also has a much nicer trigger. Good experiences with both of those would lead to try the PF-9 or get another P-11 if I wanted a pocket 9mm.

other

Kimber Compact Stainless in .45 if I get another it will be a BHP in 9mm I just don't like the 40 round. Weight is the only issue I have but weight also absorbs recoil. I've CCW'd in Florida at the beach in shorts and a tank top with both the Kimber & BHP, seperately, never spotted. If the merde ever hits the ventilation system its the same pistol I compete with. I'll cry when it goes into evidence but I will be around to do the crying!

Para Carry. If you're gonna make holes make big holes.

I have to agree. I am sitting in the recliner now writing this with it sitting in it's UBG IWB holster and don't even notice it's there.

My current favorite carry is a MiniFirestorm Duo-tone in .40S&W. Inexpensive yet with a lot of good features. A little rough at first but broke in nicely. (White looking substance is teflon.)

Well, the easy answer would be whatever I grab from the safe that morning. There is a complicated answer, but I guess I have carried a lot of Glocks and my favorite of them for carry would be the Glock 23.
