Has anyone found a way to mark the position of a Schuster plug in the M1 Garand for different ammo loads? Would be nice to just know where to crank the screw to go from one ammo type to another rather than having to figure out each time.
Has anyone had experience dealing with transfer of firearms after death? We will have a professional personal rep. Does she need to have background check while in "possession" of my safe and firearms? How to navigate the maze of laws?
I asked help for this on one forum or another but cannot find my post. Anyway, I've found the answer and thought I'd share just in case I'd posted here in THR.
The issue was that after emptying, the clip failed to eject. I had to pull the stock to get it out.
As it turns out, I was trying to...
I'm looking at a Sportsmans Warehouse ad for S&W revolvers. The same model with same general feature--barrel length, grip, etc--is listed twice, with one listing asterisked and noted as being California compliant. Also $10 higher price.
Can't find anything that explains what the difference is...
to see Bruce Willis' Deathwish and was not happy with what I saw.
First, in a preview for another movie one of the characters bump fired a handgun.
Then they supported the myths of the AR being a full auto and that it could be purchased overnight. They may have been using a bump stock, but...
Just saw the movie and have some bones to pick. Willis' character is shooting a Glock 19 (?) left handed and supposedly the slide cuts the web of his hand. I do not handle Glocks, but on other semi autos the injury comes on the supporting hand when it is wrapped too high around the back of the...
Who is behind Mooncliptool.com? I don't see any names.
I had thought to bet a BMT tool, but they warn against Starline brass, which is what I use exclusively.
Title says it all. Can the mainspring and trigger rebound spring from a 686+ be put into a M66 K-frame? My 686+ is like butter, my M66 is not. Reading about performance replacement springs makes me leery about needing other than WPS primers to get consistent ignition.
My 686+ goes bang every...
What is a powder that will burn efficiently for a 4" barrel in .357 with 158 gr X-treme copper plated bullets and WPS primers? Also needs to meter well in a Hornady LNL AP powder drop.
Interesting in the comments the author makes about cultural basis for firearms interest. Focuses a bit on understanding the roots in common history of India and US as British colonies.

A while back an article from CNN was posted on trends in new black gun owners. Here's a similar article from Fox sans the CNN political tunnel vision.

I have not heard of any serious move on hollow point ammo. It the Tribune correct?

I saw a load table that gave interesting pressure vs velocity for a 158 gr bullet over AA#9. Anyone familiar with the load or know of other interesting loads listed on one table or another?
With 4" S&W M66 using 158 gr .38 spl handloads that have chrono-ed at about 900 fps.
Anyone with experience who can offer advice, etc?
I haven't done much in the way of distance shooting, but decided to check out this combo--my everyday carry--to see whether I can hit the side of the...
Are there any records on distance involved in active shooter situations? I seem to remember a comment about the police firing back at a distance of 70 feet or so, the distances inside classrooms seems obvious. Any notes on the mall and theater situations?
The reason for asking is to...
I tried checking going prices on Gunbroker and every one had zero as the current bid. Are these non auction items or do I need to register to see the bids, whatever? The firearms had a "time to go" note making them look like they are on auction.
