There was a doc at the shooting club I used to belong to that carried. He even used it to defend his life. No shots fired, the bad guns realized that THEIR life was more important then trying to get the guy's wallet. (They also brought one knife, two guys, to a robbery attempt. The "victim" had...
I would say the 75 family, but if the Master, JMB, had not created the 1911 or the P-35 I do think the designers at CZ would have had a tough time.
(YES, I know that Dieudonne Saive had a lot to do with the P-35's design as well as JMB.)
First, nothing will protect a company against stupid management or bad laws. I do not know if either was the cause of Star's demise but we all have to understand that. Second, Star made handguns and some sub guns, CZ has a broader menu, more options for the civilian buyer. As long as CZ's...
Several months back there was a thread on one of the 1911 boards about them. They were supposed to be reopening based in St. Louis or somewhere near there. Not sure if any real info was posted or just theories.
Think about it, fuel and raw materials have gone up. Many companies give employees a yearly cost of living increase. Add in the dollar and what we have is the makers raising the price, the distributor now raising the price and the dealer adding a few more % to give the shop folks a few more $$...
An XD in .45ACP hold 13 in the mag plus one in the chamber. (Factory mags) For some reason the .40 S&W XD has 12 round mags.
The .40 is popular because some police agencies went to them to overcome some "issues" with the 9x19. The issues may be real or imagined, you decide. Then civilians...
I own a GP100 and plan on getting another but another option is to look at a used S&W Model 19 or 66 and see if you like the feel. The GP100 should handle more full power .357's but in reality how many of those will you shoot.
Lyman 47th Reloading Handbook, copyright 1992, seventh printing 2000, lists a grove diameter of .309".
Yes it is an older book, but since I don't reload at this time it works for me as a reference.
Several years after Master Lock had that commercial where they shot the lock one of the annual gun publications decided to see if they were telling the truth or not. They did this something like 20 or so years back, so some memories are now faded but they blasted a bunch of locks and found that...
Since First Data is a private company we can't do much to them BUT Citi is a public company. How many here want to buy a block of Citi stock and raise a fuss at their annual shareholders meeting?
I will buy $250 of stock and sign over my stock voting rights to a proxy. Maybe if we go after a...
First Data is a privately held company. Here is the owner's web site: http://www.kkr.com/
I doubt writing them would help any. I think telling the banks that First Data's "ideals" are going to hurt THEIR business might get more response.
You can get good prices at 44mag.com. Orders over $100 have free shipping. Compare Bushmaster's price to several on-line sources and go for the best deal.
My lone gripe is that they will not ship a handgun to MD even though it is legal. They claim their insurance company prohibits them from doing it. They will ship legal mags to us. I bought XD mags from them.
