All I will say is simply this. If the 2nd was working as the founding fathers intended then New York, D.C., Chicago, California and others wouldn't be able to limit gun ownership or the carrying of weapons so let's not relax.
I haven't bought ammo in at least a year and a half. I bought enough reloading components back then to easily get me through this time of price goughing. It didn't happen by design, just got lucky I guess.
I just thought I would let you all know that I received an e mail from Wyoming Senator John Barrasso that Amendment 1069 allowing concealed carry in National Parks passed by 67 for and 29 against. In his e mail he states that we are now one step closer to our 2nd amendment rights in the parks...
I worked at an airport as an armed security officer for three years. I left that job two years ago but I don't believe the policy has changed. The problem is simply that you can talk to three different people and possibly get three different answers. You need no paperwork to place your handgun...
A few weeks ago I pulled out an old Krag from the closet that I've had since the 70s and decided to clean it up and mount a scope on it. Being a 30.40 Krag it requires a side mount and no where could I find one so I made my own in my little shop and it works great. I really like this old gun and...
I dusted off an old Krag from the closet I have had since the 70s and tried to find a side mount for a scope. Got tired of looking so I built one in my shop and it works great. I was just wondering, how many of you still have the old 30.40 Krag and how do you like them? Even though the action is...
When I was a kid shooting was something we did ever since we were about ten years old. Shot my first .22 at about six or seven (with my dad of course). By the time my buddies and I were thirteen we had our own .22 rifles and I had a nine shot J.C. Higgins .22 revolver. As far as I am concearned...
I can't give you an honest answer on this subject but yes, many go on vacations, here in Cody, Wyoming the tourists are already here. many are getting ready for their kids highschool graduations as well as college and Many who live in cold country are now out enjoying the sunshine and working in...
I'm not related to anyone famous. I come from a family of moonshiners and hit men from the late 20s and
30s out of Northern Indiana. Oh, I am related to Charlie root. He was the pitcher who piched the ball that Babe Ruth hit over the wall after pointing to it. Ya might know, I am related to...
I shot snakes around my place when I lived in Arizona with whatever gun I had withe me at the time. I've shot them in the head with a .45 long colt, .45 auto, 30.06, .22 but the best was a twelve gauge shotgun. Within ten or twelve feet aim at the head and it takes it clean off destroying it. I...
Like foreign cars I don't buy firearms that aren't made in this country either. Not that they are not well made or operate well it's just that I believe in buying American when ever I can but that's just me.
The only Ruger I have ever owned is a .45 Long Colt Blackhawk with a four and three quarter inch barrel. Right out of the box it had a decent trigger pull and is very accurate. I really like it because of the heavy frame, I can load it up with a 310 grain hardcast bullet with 23 grains of H-110...
I own revolvers and auto's and like them both equally as well. My dad taught me when I was young to learn to shoot with either hand and you're correct, it doesn't take a whole lot to be successful with both. I wish you a speedy recovery.
I am hitting 58 now and have gained some weight also due to medications. What I have done is to pick up a nylon shoulder holster. They are inexpensive and if you wear a light shirt with the tail left out nobody will spot it and another thing, if you get the one which attaches to your belt it...
Carbon Helix, no problem with it anywhere that I have found, not even Cheyenne. In fact the police chief here in Cody and I know each other slightly and he firmly believes in the public's right to carry open or otherwise. I think you will find much the same in Cheyenne also. Take care.
I open carry in the summer and carry concealed in the winter because that's what the weather dictates here in Wyoming. Sometimes I will carry concealed in the summer if it's not a real hot day and will just wear a shirt over a t shirt. It really makes no difference here how you carry because...
No they are not banned at the Cody range but a few of the guy's I know who have them like to take them out into the open area's to shoot as to take advantage of the 1000 yard and longer shots.
