of all the guns from auction sites i have purchased when i picked the rifle up my ffl always cycled the action in front of me, #1 its good practice. i would contact the ffl that you sent it to and talk to the guy that unpacked the gun. he may be able to tell you that, "yes i did cycle the...
i have a 338LM and was looking into 416 barrett but at the the time ammo, and brass were extremely hard to locate. 408 chey-tac seemed to be slightly easier to obtain brass and ammo. once you step to the .40 class long range, good b.c. bullets are very expensive, $2+ if i remember correctly. if...
have not handled all of them but i own a couple nightforces and a TRG-42, and savage 10BA have fondled a AI, and shot remington 5r. my personal choice between them would be an 1) AI followed by TRG-22 with either scope mentioned. the savage is a truly great shooter for the money also. I have...
i believe the white oak varmint chamber is very simular to rock rivers wylde chamber. i am could be wrong but i thought i had heard that the "wylde" name was a trademark of RRA much like there is a 6.5 Grendel(alexander arms) and a 6.5 Sporter (model 1) I know the 6.5 are actual cartridges but...
depends on what bullet weights you shoot. for my 55-60 grain 223 i use benchmark and have also used benchmark for my 308 155 grain bullets, i also use varget for both but the only good results i have w 223 and varget are for the 69 bthp and heavier. i know how nice id be to only buy one powder...
had one a couple years ago mine to also had a weaver 4x. great little rifle, carried well and shot excellent, traded on a whim and although i didnt shoot it often i regretted it.
my buddy has one in 300 mag and it shoots great, one thing he had to do was install a pressure point and he said that it really shrunk his groups down.
im a d.i.n.k. (Dual Income No Kids) so we get to pay in at the end of the year but i have been eyeing a 408 cheytac lately but it will have to be bought using some of the money they let me keep during the year.
all 168 bthp match i have shot has been excellent out of mine, also the 110 vmax hornady loads done very well, i have settled on reloads of 44 grns of varget w a 155 AMAX
looking for some loads with this bullet, the powders i have available are varget, imr4350, benchmark,RL19 and RL22. any of you loading this with any of this powder. My hornady book has no info for the 120's. thanks.
nice set up, ive got the a sps tactical and an in the process of doing some upgrades. first replacing the stock. your scope choice is top notch in my book too. congrats.
yeah this same type of thing has happened to me, but i have also been to auctions everything sold for wayyyy tooo much. and even have managed to snag a few deals. thing to remember is that the guy that got them might have been very willing to go alot higher than what you would be willing to have...
my form 1 stamp has arrived. assembling a 10.5 ar15. sent it off last week of august and arrived today. just had to share the excitement as my wife was no where near as excited as i was.
between my hornady brass and lapua brass in 338 lapua, Lapua brand is clearly better brass IMO i have picked up once fired lapua brass on Gunbroker at times for around 1.25-1.50 per piece you just have watch the auctions and be patient but it can be found reasonably.
thanks guys, my buddy was guessing he would score 135 or so. as for my choice of round i have used everything from 22-250 to 338 for deer. and i have yet to kill one "too dead" :neener:
