Hay all.
I have an M1 Garand, and was wondering what an ok grouping is at 100yards both standing and, using a backpack as a rest to shoot from, with little wind. Only have shot my M1 4 times and only just got the front site centered. Or at least i think its good now.
Thanks.
Just picked up my M1 carbine from fed-ex. Wood is in over all good shape.Metal looks used but 95%. The barrel finish looks 99.5%. The pics are a tad dark because it is night time, and the the flash just washed everything out. So i went with out the flash for some pics. If you have any requests ask.
I got this email link from a company that does Pistol self defense training. Its ABC News 20/20 on gun control. Very nicely done for a change. Work safe.

My CMP M1 field grade is ejecting its clip with live rounds about half way through firing. From what i have read in my M1 books it seems the problem is the bullet guide, or op-rod catch. Tonight I am going to buy a dial caliper (a better one then i have now) to measure the bullet guide so i...
Background info, i am shooting a BHP MK III 9mm made in 1989. My ammo is factory reloads, not very clean sometimes i see "dust" floating out after my shots. I have been cleaning the barrel (boresnake) but not the actions, to see what happens to the pistol as it gets dirty. I have fired about...
For the first time i will be shooting my M1 Garand (new from CMP field grade), along with some friends. I have never shot one and was wondering what the recoil is like. What is it compared to an Rem 870 12 ga 18-inch brrl shotgun?
Also is there anything i should know before hand?
Ps...

Going off what my Grandpa would say, "there is always a better way to do something"
I was just wondering what people would change to make the m1 the most it could be. But it still has to be am M1, so no detachable mag, and has to keep its overall appearance.
I would make scope mounting...
