Just because they drove away, or were driving by last time. There's no assurance that they will the next time. I think most of us agree that shooting at the back of a fleeing vehicle is a no no!! Could we stop focusing on that aspect maybe??
I can imagine all kinds of things happening. The scenario I imagine could be very different than yours. I can imagine shooting back at someone shooting a pellet gun at me. It doesn't seem very likely to happen, but it's possible.
It seems so unlikely, and crazy but it could happen.

I don't have a chrono, but those wolfs have some bark and bite to them... I shot a few this weekend. Not crazy, but pretty hot. I don't thing I d enjoy them in a small frame .357.
I hear you. I need to get him to the range! I think he would enjoy it if he would give it a chance. He's pro gun. But it's like he has a hangup.
It could be that I shot him in the back with a BB gun.when we were kids. Maybe he's afraid I'll do it again!!
My bro shows no interest in firearms. I want to get him something he can protect himself with... It has to be a handgun, reliable/simple, inexpensive and easy to use. If I try to take him shopping for it he will refuse.
What say you??
Hilariously stupid!!! When the bullets start flyin', get the funk outta there!!! Especially when you're not wearing tied shoes, or clothes that fit...
These guys are a waste of skin.
Based on what I've seen there's little or no evidence that the average Python is any more acurate than the average GP100...
That's not to say there aren't lousy GPs...
I did give this some thought before I bought my 4 incher. I decided I have better hunting implements than any handgun...
To the OP you may want to look at the GP100 as well. It comes with the hogue grip now, very comfy!! I shoot better with my 4" GP100 than my father in laws 6" 686...
Did I miss something? Do you know the OP or something? Why would he sell a .357 magnum? One of the most versitile firearms made?
4" was my choice as well. There isn't much you can do with the 6 incher that you can't do with the 4"' It also feels better to me.
I saw that too, it must be a 10" barrel or a carbine or something... The pressure required to do that in the shorter barrels wouldn't be safe for many guns.
I'd like to hear some opinions of the Wolf .357 ammo. I'm thinking about picking some up to feed my 4" GP100. Is it good, bad, dirty? According to specs listed @ sportsmansguide it's pretty hot. I didn't see the barrel length listed though...
