    S&W Model 15 vs 28

Oh, the agony! I'm not fond of rust - at all. However, a 4" is better for in the house and the lighter weight would be good too. But... at the range the HP would be the winner there and I am really liking my HP's. Just can't seem to get past the nightstand - gotta pull the lever for the K frame.

S&W 38s: The Old and New

Don't you mean really old and old? I don't see a new Smith in that picture. Love the old one's myself.

    Ruger LCR .38 recoil

I got the .357 for the added weight. This should help dial down the recoil of the .38's you want to shoot and I agree heavy wadcutters 148 - 158 grain seem the easiest. Does your range rent them? Do you know anybody that has one? They are becoming pretty popular. I have not tried the .22...

    Polishing nickel plating

Flitz as noted. I would use a clean microfiber cloth as well vs. cotton etc. This Smith 13-2 looked nothing like this when I got it.:what:

Love the 27's only have a couple of long tubes myself. You have a beauty. Here is one unfired since the factory. Then a fired S pre-fix circa my birth year. Tonight cylinders open for a new look.

    My precious

Want the pictures as well... Took this 4" Nickel out today for the first time. Never shot a fixed sight K frame before. Must say that is shot very well - shooting hedge apples was fun. I love it. Missed a 3" blued before I was smart enough to know what I missed. Glad you got one...

    Post-war S&W pre-Model 27 sanity check, please

Well a look at GB completed auctions showed a fairly well worn one for $650 or so that sold. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=308676780 Shorter barrels have gone for $1600 & $2600+ Here is a current one for $895 - you have to judge the finish etc. But it has made...

    S&W Model 19/66?

Oh Baby - gotta lot of love for the 66's. All P&R for me. I really need to clean them up and get some better shots of them. Great guns to shoot. 66-1 6" on top, then the 66 all SS including rear sights 4" and the MSHP 66-1 from below. No dash snubbie with aftermarket grips - gotta...

    LCR dry firing

First thing I did with mine was dry fired it 1,000 times watching football on tv. Then oiled per manual and dry fired it another 1,000 times. Must say that really smoothed out the trigger in no time.:D

Estate sale find (S&W Model 27-2)

I'm a sucker for the lazy &. That is a beauty, got one like it unfired last year but had to lay another bone down to get it... and I thought I did pretty good.

S&W model 14-4 target rescued today

Well bikemutt - you did goood. Looks lightly used for sure. First tipoff for me is it still has the trigger stop in there. So many of those were taken out right after somebody scratched up the sideplate, bent it and mauled the screw heads. I kinda like 'em myself.

    Too Cool!

    Older Smith .357

Hmmm.... picked up a 13-2 recently 66's are really nice in any barrel length Work horses are the 28-2's. Any for the next to ultimate the 27-2's (sorry Registered Magnum are not in my price range). Need some with shorter barrels! I'd get them all personally.
