All the above guns could have had a problem from the box. :uhoh: Give the Walther P-99 a chance, they are good guns! Much better than their little PP's. :D
There is no see through scope mounts for the CZ so I'd get another type of rifle that uses more standerd mounts if see through is a issue. (With CZ, you're stuch with their mounts.)
Some work very well but the barrels aren't that great. They use cheap labor to keep the costs down (like the GI) but are all cast. I'd lean towards the GI or Norinco myself but if you want all the bells a whistles on a budget, you may want to give a RIA or Armscor a try.
I'm a dealer and HAVE sent guns back to most manufacturures, CZ's "service" is near the bottom rung with Browning. As a matter of fact we've had a CZ pistol there for 4 weeks and I'll bet it comes back with issues!
I do like most CZ products but we had to drop them for sale and will...
We've sold quite a few new PPK'S's but some go back do to feeding problems and they are grossly over priced. We sell a heck of alot more Bersa Thunders and they never come back. they are also less than half the price , are lighter, and have a slide stop. If I were in the marked for a 9mm sized...
Oh yeah? S&W's service is head and shoulders above CZ's And they were one of the first to offer HC mags to replace the low caps bought around and before the sunset. I think someone is living in the past.
That said, the S&W auto's have a high axis (like Sigs) and generally have crappy triggers...
I've carried 4" compacts for years and they were totally reliable. I woried more about FPS and used 185 gr bullets in shorter guns.
I've shot many 3" Kimbers that were reliable and accurate and think their shorties were set up the best. (pre II) However I liked the 4" barrel better for the...
Good guns but I had terrible service from Mike at CZ. We sent a new rifle back because the bolt was binding BADLY and they returned it unfixed and said "as long as it fires it's fine". I tried everything but they wouldn't fix it. The owner who has several CZ's said he's never buy another and we...
Don't overlook Rock River Arms.
There have been some complaints (on the 1911 board) of Ed Brown not excepting the fact that a gun has a problem and getting repair was a chore but all in all he makes great guns. And he DOE'S test fire them.
