2nd of 2 incidents @ work today, nothing major - lessons learned?

Eliphalet has a good point in staying out of it. If it turned deadly though, depending on your state, you may be able to intervene. Legally this is probably more risky than just calling the police and staying out of it. I think carrying a cell phone is just as important as a CCW now days...

    Checking reloads

The only way to be sure it's safe is to take each round apart, weigh the powder and make sure it's within acceptable limits(if you can figure out what powder it is to begin with), and then put it back together and shoot it. .38spl has a case volume large enough to create a very big over...

Case trimmer speeds. can you beat this

Thats because no one can afford one to make it! :P I've been eyeing one up myself for a couple years now but I just don't shoot enough/have enough disposable income to justify it. Someday... EDIT: I found this video of a Giraud trimming a 50BMG case. Quite a bit faster than the zip trim...

Case trimmer speeds. can you beat this

Hand powered trimmers? Man, you guys need to get out more :neener: Check this out for speed trimming: http://www.giraudtool.com/prod02.htm Trims and deburrs in one step. If I want to polish ammo I dump it in a tumbler for an hour.

Security cameras ... interpret the world

The notion of being able to tell when someone is concealing something is science fiction right now and is a hell of a long way off from being a reality. When you factor in that people are carrying more things on their belts like ipods and cell phones it makes it impossible to determine what is...

Chrono really necessary to new pistol reloader?

And all those over pressure signs you can observe from fired cartridges aren't safety gauges? What are you trying to say here? There are plenty of ways to gauge whether the load you've fired is safe to fire again.

    Hornady LNL AP owners?

Have you considered an RCBS Pro 2000? Similar features to the LNL except no case feeder and it's manually indexed. I actually prefer the manuel indexing but having a case feeder would be nice. Also, The Pro 2000 uses the APS priming system. It works just as well as a tube fed, just a little...

Anyone loading rifle on a progressive?

RCBS X-Dies work well for negating that problem. Trim once and you can shoot til the necks split.

To portray the illusion of safety, or instill fear, or probably both.

Dillion 550B vs 650 vs Lee

Ignorance is bliss? At least you admit it. Regardless of what you think, if you don't have experience with both then you're comments hold zero weight. I'm happy with my Pro 2000. Being a semi-progressive I was able to use it as a single stage until I had the handle on the reloading...

A possible response to those souls pushing gun control.

How about this for a response: Exactly.. crime isn't a gun issue, it's based on poverty, class imbalance, pop density, etc.. Stop attacking guns if they aren't the reasons for crime. EDIT: You would also have a considerable about of statistics to back you up in this assertion.

    Warning for Kali people.

Does CA have the 2nd amendment as part of their state constitution? This might make for a good case for the Cali AWB being unconstitutional.

Well, for those of us in NY we have to submit to the same background check for a pistol permit anwyays.

    The WiFi Cops are coming!!!

Theres really no sense in talking about VLANs here. I doubt anyone is going to have a router in their home that supports it. If they do have a router with VLAN support, I'm pretty sure they will already know about it and how to use it since it's a costly upgrade to get it and no one would do...

    C&R Application on Back Order?

    roll/taper crimp 40 s&w

Get the Lee factory crimp die and then use your RCBS seater/crimper die to just seat the bullet. Basically just back off the die and screw down the seater plug til it's just seating the bullet to the right depth. You don't have to buy a whole new set of dies.
