    SW 6906 vs SW CS-9

I own both. The CS9 is a single stack and is therefore quite a bit thinner than the 6906. It's a 7+1 pistol, with a 3" vs a 3.5" barrel. I find that the size difference is enough that I almost never carry the 6906. The CS9 is much smaller and much more comfortable for all-day carry.

Wondering about some THR member voters

Yep, I've added to my mag collection. I remember what happened to hi-caps the last time Dems had control of congress. I've also already got an evil black gun that I've locked away, because I know that if they're not secured they'll sneak out and kill innocent children. The one I have is...

Last Flight of the F14 Tomcat

The F-14 airframe is getting very old. Old airframes usually = more cracks in that airframe, especially if you're pulling a lot of G's. I remember just before we retired the last of the F-111A models they were limited to something like 2-3 G's. The F-14 was one bad-a$$ed bird that served us...

OK, so here's what I did in the bank robbery...

tellner, Do we have a bonafide socialist in our midst? Given your comparative definitions of socialism and capitalism, it would seem so. Socialism carried to its logical conclusion is a murderous worldview. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot were all good socialists, and they murdered 100+ million...

OK, so here's what I did in the bank robbery...

Just a small point: Isn't it rather socialistic to consider money robbed from a bank "somebody else's money?" Wasn't he going to cash a paycheck, implying that it was HIS bank? Who pays off an FDIC claim for robbed funds? Isn't it us, ultimately, John Q. Public? Isn't that one of the...

    UK Gun Laws

And if any of those adult victims had been "packing," the outcome could have been far different. I know, I know. If my aunt had cajones she'd be my uncle. One of the reasons schools here were an attractive target for a while was because they're a "gun-free" zone. Imagine that! A...

    UK Gun Laws

I have an unlicensed, loaded Mossberg 12 gauge, along with 2 unlicensed, loaded 9mm S&W pistols (among others) at my house. They're unlicensed because they don't have to be. I still live in a relatively free country. You blokes are telling a cautionary tale of how the anti's operate with...

    UK Gun Laws

Well, I'll stick with our new Castle Doctrine. If someone finds himself in my house uninvited, or if someone tries to carjack me, I can eliminate the threat and not worry about criminal charges OR civil charges.

    UK Gun Laws

Seems I remember a UK farmer who confronted 2 thugs who'd broken into his house at night, and he filled one with buckshot. The farmer went to prison on criminal assault charges, then lost his farm to the thug in the civil trial. I think I'll stay right here in Alabama, especially with our...

    CCW'ing car-jacker shot by CCW'ing victim!

A lot of the states that passed the new Castle Doctrine legislation specifically include shooting someone during a car-jacking as justified.

    Warning for Kali people.

Torpid, Pretty good. The paragons of tolerance are, in fact, intolerant fascists for the most part. And these intellectual giants aren't bright enough to see their hypocrisy. Now that's funny. I don't care who ya are.

How long before an Ammo Ban?

Rusty, I heard different. At our last machine gun shoot I talked to a guy who said that the US Gov't, in its infinite wisdom, destroyed stockpiles of weapons in Afghanistan and Iraq by running over them with tracked vehicles. Now they've discovered they need more weapons to arm those two...

    TAURUS MILLENNIUM PRO COMPACT

I guess I had a "special" Mil Pro. I had the type which required a trigger pull after the takedown pin was removed before the slide would release. Then the entire barrel assembly could easily travel too far back during reassembly, making it difficult to get the takedown pin back in. You had...

Is assembly/disassembly still difficult with this new Mil Pro?

    My Grandson was Murdered

Yes, this is the High Road and we're not supposed to hope that his cellmate helps Cotton to the afterlife in the same way Caleb was. We're not supposed to hope that a shiv finds its way into his right temple. We're not supposed to think along the lines of what Sistema1927 wasn't advocating...

Corporal punishment & guns in a household

Well, if we're talking about corporal punishment and guns in the house, we had both when I was growing up. As the country song goes, "we were cane switch raised and dirt floor poor." Heck, I remember getting quadruple jeopardy once. I got it from my teacher, then the principal, then from mom...

    Congress passes funeral protest ban

"If liberty means anything at all it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." - George Orwell "Goebbels was in favor of free speech for views he liked. So was Stalin. If you're in favor of free speech, then you're in favor of freedom of speech precisely for views you...

    Congress passes funeral protest ban

Maned, I'm glad to see you're such a free speech advocate. As objectionable as their speech is, how is it not a violation of their First Amendment rights to silence them? Whenever any of us is arbitrarily silenced, all of us may be arbitrarily silenced. "Freedom of speech" isn't the same...

    I'm here now!!!

Maser, I guess I was under the mistaken impression that semi-auto rifles with detachable mags were banned in the People's Republic of California. I know I've seen "workaround" ARs that break open like a shotgun so you can fill its fixed mag. Did they grandfather all the existing weapons or...
