anyone own a single stack ak?

I have no idea if they will fit your rifle or not, but they are about 0.71" wide, 2.68" long. If you are thinking of buying some, I have 6 or 12 I'm planning on selling. PM me if you are interested.

    Surplus 7.62 x 54R - Corrosive?

I doubt he's worried about the water from the Mosin considering the sink does the same thing :D I've thought about modifying a spent case by cutting the front half off, popping the primer out & opening the primer cup up to attach a short bit of tubing to. Then hook up the other end to an old...

    922r

It was compliant in order to be imported, adding an American made stock & muzzle attachment would only decrease your foreign parts count. The scope mount, etc. doesn't count for or against your part count for 922r. You may already have a Tapco US trigger, which counts for 3 US parts. I believe...

    K31 or Yugo M24/47

another vote for the K31. I never heard anyone describe the K31's safety as "clumsy" before... It's actually a bit on the clever side, and definitely not even close to being as bad as some other designs. Gone are the days of $80/case for 8mm ammo, unless you hit a jackpot somewhere. You...

    "Waffenfabrik" K.31

It's a Swiss Karabiner Model 1931 or "K31", also called Schmidt-Rubin K31 as well. Waffenfabrik means "arms factory" and was the manufacturer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K31 http://www.swissrifles.com/sr/

    American made Mosin-Nagants!

I know it's spelled "Mosin". I was raggin' on the Rifleman magazine, which spelled it "Moisin" the whole way through the article. Apparently no one picked up on my sarcasm... Although maybe I didn't clarify too well in my first post.

    Ballistic comp 7.62 x 54 vs .30-30??

Actually, I think people use "7.62 Russian" to mean 7.62x54R and "7.62 Soviet" to mean 7.62x39. I think it's easier to use 7.62x54R and 7.62x39 rather than getting mixed up in the Russian/Soviet naming... plus it could also mislead people to think the "R" in 7.62x54R stands for "Russian"...

    PRVI Partizan Serbian ammo

Actually, it's "ППУ", which translates to "PPU" and as AndyC mentioned, stands for "Prvi Partizan Uzice".

My new $25 Mauser, what is it?

Possibly a M48BO Yugo Mauser. BO = bez oznake ("without markings"). They were made new and also scrubbed German 98 Mausers as well. It should be 8mm though.

How to turn a $1000 gun into a $50 gun.

I would check out some metal-specific epoxies, I'd imagine they would work well for this application. I've seen metal-filled epoxy used to fill a hole in metal... the cured epoxy was then drilled and tapped and an eye bolt was screwed into it and supported a fair load without issue. Recoil...

    Tell me about the 7.62x54R

it's centerfire, with a rimmed case. ETA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.62x54R They show some pictures there.

    What 7.62x54 do I have?

Yep, as mentioned, it's Bulgarian made in 1951. I'd venture a guess that it's light ball (148 gr) as well. All heavy ball Bulgarian I've had/seen has not had the star on it for whatever reason.

    Wasr-10 Mags

http://www.gunsnet.net/Linx310/wasrwell.htm shows modifying the mag well, your issue may be similar. I'd try a few countries' magazines before hacking too much off... As mentioned before, they do vary in dimensions a bit. Otherwise, just see where the magazine is getting hung up at around the...

    Mosin Nagant screwdriver

I'd imagine making a wider handle with less material would have been a good reason, especially with how many of 'em they made! Plus it uses up less space than the old style one. Also, you can attach it to something so you don't lose it. Oh, and you can put something through it to get some...
