I picked up a cheap replacement cue ball from Dick's. Just the right size for my hands.
Clamped it in my small drill press and bored the right size hole and attached it with epoxy.
Still solid after three years.
My late dad's Marlin 1936 in .30-.30 Dad was eighteen when he bought it for $5.00 from a bar patron who needed money for a few more glasses of beer.
I am now 72 and still have the Marlin.
The buck was a fine eight point.
