Have you ever had an ND?

Been shooting lots of stuff in my last 50 years of shooting, starting with my dad's .45 ACP, bb guns, pellet guns, etc. Moved to the Army, shot .45ACP pistols, M3A1 grease guns, and 105mm main tank guns. Then carried for the U.S. Government Law Enforcement Officer, (U.S. Border Patrol, INS...

    Over 60 yrs old carry?

Well, I turned 61 last April and I'm still carrying what I have been for 2 years. An HK45CT pistol in a Raven Concealment System holster. I find I shoot it very well and it carries concealed easily.

Man, HammerheadSSN663's been chugging the Sig P250 Kool-Aid. Chill, dude!

Talk me into (or out of) a Sig P250 or SP2022?

The P250 is a turd extraordinaire. Do a Google search on TSA contracting with Sig do deliver P250s to the U.S. Air Marshals. The P250 pistols were so error prone that the Air Marshals had to pull them out of the field right after issuing them and reissue the Air Marshals old P239 pistols...

Do you only purchase USA-made firearms?

Most of my pistols are Germany made, with 4 of them being HKs. I will purchase what I think is the best firearm for me, irregardless of the country of origin. I wouldn't purchase anything from France or China though.

Dont Hurt me tooo much! Just a theory!

While most people believe Glock invented the first polymer pistol, it was in fact HK. The first polymer pistol on the market was the HK VP70, which was introduced approximately 12 years before the Glock. No arguments here about which is best, just correcting misinformation.

I need a great 45 for concealed carry

I'm 5'10" and carry an HK45C pistol everyday concealed. I use a Raven Concealment System Phantom holster to do so. It's a OWB kydex holster. I prefer HK pistols over any others, but there are certainly some great pistols on the market today.

    Laser or not?

Must be a young person with this attitude. I would imagine that most people in their 70's and older are not shooting competition. That's not to say some are, but I imagine most aren't. But to have the immature attitude that "they are just for people who want to pimp their guns" is ridiculous...

    Epiphany

Does customer service factor in your handgun purchase?

Atblis, When I first read your post, I thought you said they were rude, condescending, and IMPOTENT. I had to go back and read it again. Maybe they are impotent and act out towards customers because of it.

    Laser or not?

I used to look upon lasers as a gimmick on pistols, as I figured I had night sights. However, as I have gotten older (north of sixty, but not too much) I have found a Crmison Trace laserguard on my HK45CT has been a godsend. I still use night sights, but I have found I cannot see the sights as...

The *largest* handgun for summer / winter CCW?

I carry the HK45CT year round in a Raven Concealment Systems Phantom holster. I bought a Ruger LCP and tried it for a few weeks, but felt undergunned. I went back to the HK and love it.

    Ground Shipping handgun

I've shipped all of my firearms at the UPS counter, not the local stores. There have been no issues and the pistols have arrived where they are supposed to. No issues whatsoever except for cost!! Of course, I shipped my HK back to HK for a trigger job, and even though it cost me $65, I would...

Highest price you paid for your gun

I paid $1100 for an HK45CT about 6 months ago. It cost a little more as it has the threaded barrel and night sights. It's my EDC pistol and without a doubt the finest handgun I've ever owned. It's one I'll never get rid of. :)

    Reliability

The U.S. Border Patrol carries the HK P2000 in .40S&W. They love them, and the BP gets into more gunfights per year than all other LE agencies combined. Just a thought.

    I Want this Glock !!!

I wrote the Brady Campaign and asked them where I could get my Glock painted like that one on the poster. I'll see if they respond!:)

Wife to be wants a firearm

Last year Smith & Wesson was making an M&P 9mm which was a Julie Goloski model, which meant it came with interchangeable backstraps which were pink in color. Julie is one of the S&W female shooters on their competition team. It was a nice pistol. I don't know if they're making it this year or...

Even WWB 9mm ball seems to tumble in flesh

I've never seen someone stand completely still while you try and hit them in the head with your pistol. They're usually closing fast and running at you and good luck with a head shot!
