I got a few PM's asking about how the SCAR compares to the XCR. At this point, I would take the XCR. Why? Because the XCR has a slew of options, configurations and is overall a more interesting firearm. The XCR trigger is better, the ergos are better, and I like being able to actually get SBR...

I own both. I dont have a ton of rounds through the SCAR yet, but I have shot it side by side with the XCR. I have a good foundation for a basic comparison. Exactly what do you want to know?

I have to agree. General consensus on the XCR is its a 1.5-2 MOA weapon. I've seen 1 shot kills on small targets on the move at over 100 yards. If a person is getting 4 MOA something is very wrong

Been shooting XCR's since they first dropped. I've had mine awhile. No real complaints. For the price you will be hard pressed to find anything better

Everything in that pic except the XCR is select fire. I have fired a full auto 7.62x39 XCR however.

I dont have a measuring tape handy, but I am going to guess the OAL is 30", and 21" folded...give or take. 9" barrel. 5.56 is the caliber. However 6.8 and 7.62x39 will also be available. If you own an XCR, all you need is a new PDW upper. I think you mean the locking tab on the Troy rail...

I got to hold one. It felt slick and well put together. It's scary small for a 7.62 NATO gun. Sadly, Kel-Tec has a bit of a problem getting product out. Hopefully Kel-Tec cranks em out, because its going to be a hot little item for sure.

The FN SCAR uses an extruded upper. Not a problem. Lots of info on XCRforum.com if you're looking to do some research. I am very happy with mine
