I'd buy it on principle alone. That was funny as hell.

Jonesboro Murderer is free - should he be allowed to own a gun?

I question whether he should be allowed out of prison at all, but definitely not so damn soon! Just because he happened to be under 18 at the time doesn't mean he didn't know what he was doing.

Preparing to move to California. How?

Legally, you`ll have to let the hi-caps go. All the guns you listed are fine, but you have to fill out a registration form and submit the fee to the DOJ within a certain time period- i think 60 days. Now, that said, I don`t know anybody who has ever been asked about the manufacture date of their...

    ¿ Sig S. p232 Look alikes ?

If you like the lines of the 232, specifically the trigger guard like you mentioned, I'd suggest that the Mauser HSC might be what you are looking for. I don't know what the price range is, but damn that's a pretty gun. http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg103-e.htm

    Gun locks grace farmers' gates

Somebody probably mentioned this already, but the lock distribution programs are friggin useless. CA law requires a dealer to sell me a lock (not just make sure I have one, I have to buy one from him.), so what's the point?

I Was Outed At School Today!

Now you know they're not gonna TP your house, at least. =D By the way, what school do you teach at? Just out of curiosity.

Do you still have the gun you learned to shoot with?

I never learned to shoot on one particular gun, really- my first few trips to the range i put a little bit through each of the guns my friend brought. My first gun that I owned, and the one that I learned a lot on, I bought in August- so of course I still have it. =D

SoCal members: Fowler Gun Room, Stockade? Opinions?

I've got nothing to say that hasn't been said really. Amazing selection, ridiculous prices. Almost bought a used .22 rifle there, the guy was actually very helpful in answering my questions. And I bought cleaning supplies there once or twice.

Reason for buying a particular gun

"Ruger Vaquero SS 357 - Saw it the day my daughter was born" Sorry to sidetrack, but what the hell were you doing looking at guns while your daughter was being born? :neener: :neener: :neener:

A-zoom snap caps ok to use .357 in .38 revolver?

(Note- My snapcaps aren't A-Zoom, so I don't quite know what I'm talking about) I bought a few .38 snapcaps for my M10 and noticed that they were (quite) a bit shorter than a live .38 round, so my hunch is that the .357s would be short enough to fit as well. Couldn't hurt to try, anyway.

Does anyone make a .223 pistol

o-o I've never heard of a gun that looks like a 1911 and takes .223, because that would make the grip WAY too long. Your options for a .223 pistol would be the one made by Bushmaster, or a single shot pistol- such as the Thompson Contender, MR Lone Eagle, or Savage Striker. But I suppose there...

Your personal record for firearms acquired in one year?

My personal record for guns acquired in one year is, well, one. In August of '04 I bought my first (and so far, only) firearm- A S&W Model 10. I might be buying an M44 within the next few weeks. *fingers crossed*

    new to pistols

9mm Luger is just another name for what might be considered "standard" 9mm- 9x19mm, to be exact. Other common types you're likely to encounter any time soon include 9x17mm (other names include .380ACP,.380,9mm Kurtz, 9mm Corto, 9mm Short, 9mm Browning, the list goes on...) and the 9x18mm, AKA...

    Bond 21 gun?

I don't remember where, but I heard a rumor that they were considering the Rohrbaugh. Personally, I think a 232 would look really friggin cool, but it might be considered inadequate. I kinda like the idea of a Para LDA- maybe a Carry 12? Just a thought...

    A $50,000 Revolver!!!

I submit that this auction ranks among the Mall Ninja threads and Blackhawk industries as far as gun humor. Oh ****, Blackhawk isn't a joke. :uhoh:
