    gun safe humidity?

For my gun safe I picked up a refillable can of dehumidifier flakes (usually for your closet) They are cheap, last about 4 months or so, and very easy to "use." I haven't checked what the actual % humidity is, but I've been storing my firearms this way for several years now. I also have a little...

Limp Wristing Fact or Fiction-Calling 'Tuner

Fact. It's happened to me, and many people I've supervised and trained at the range. The transfer of force is deadened enough that the slide won't run the full cycle..somewhat of a "short stroke" if you will. IMHO

Wow, the defense and firearms industry are going to be all over this one!! I bet some engineers are really excited right now! Fox News article about a teenage kid solving TWO!! 300 year old ballistics equations posed by Newton, yet unsolved. Very very cool...

    Sig Choices

Carried a P-220 for nine years on duty, off duty. A bit full size for concealed carry, in which case (esp. in summer with light clothing) I step down to my 9mm Sig P-228.

    Stoeger what a CS joke.

I just bought a double defense side by side a few days ago. Instantly (still at the store) I noticed the salesman grab the second one on the shelf (not the one I looked at). Stupid me for not checking....as soon as I got home I noticed the butt pad was about 1/4 in higher than the template of...

    AR 15 search

I vote Bushmaster. I have an ORC and I love it. It's totally reliable, and I've never had a single issue with it. We carried Mil-surp Colts in the cruiser, but my Bushmaster out shined it every time. Just my humble opinion, but I'm sticking with Bushmaster for a long time. GREAT customer service...

Would you buy a Taurus Revolver?

Yes, I use my Taurus Tracker .357, 7 shot, ported barrel as a trail/hiking gun. Totally dependable from day 1. Click on the thumbnail for a bigger pic. I guess the flames say it all! :)

what is the best technique for under 5-yards?

During timed trials for yearly qualification on the police range at varying distances (in feet, not yards) it becomes quite instinctual at short distances. In my opinion (at least at first), don't get too hung up on the perfect shot via calculated front and rear sight alignment and really just...

    Heritage Rough Rider 22

I love mine but you really need to bury the front sight for accuracy. Mine came with the .22/.22mag (both) conversions...dropped in easily, the .22 mag is just plain fun.

Considering moving to New Hampshire, Vermont or Maine. How are gun laws and attitudes

Yes, if you move to Vermont you can open/conceal carry as you wish, no permit. You'd really enjoy the northern part of NH too (where I am) VERY pro 2A in this area, hunting is still king, premier hiking in the North East, skiing, close to Montreal, Portland (Maine), Boston, Burlington (VT) etc...
