I was going to mention that as well but I know that some people are sensitive on the momentum and Knockout issue *looks around*
It is around 50 lb ft per second of momentum.
About equal to a .25-06 in momentum.
Taylor KO = 18 est. (equal to a .308)
With air rifles (I think) it is...
Psychology of course. Muzzle blast and a harder impact. Many people swoon when they are shot. Some don't. Almost all will break off their assault unless they are in beserk mode from drugs etc etc.
It's funny that the same people who argued with me that a .223 drops a man as well as another...
Mini-revolvers, derringers and puny autos that jam sometimes give you no excuse not to carry comfortably at all times.
When the weather allows for more clothing than you can carry the bigger stuff.
A jacket can conceal a full size auto comfortably if you turn the gun so the grip is under...
Well the .22 is a proven killer but it takes time for it to run its evil program.
A big bore round shocks the person which will probably stop them immediately and hopefully take the fight out of them.
They may possibly (more than likely not) recover their senses but by then you will have...
Just how big of magazines can you get for the Saiga's now? Is it true they have drum magazines for them?

I heard that airguns in South Africa are called firearms now because a handful of the spring/piston can create a diesel detonation in the chamber if you use starter fluid or wd-40 giving it a burst of speed.
Pneumatics obviously don't have that problem but they are being regulated anyways...
This is what I have been saying all along. Ammo manufacturer's are also to blame for giving gov law enforcement and Homeland Security contracts priority over the civilian market.
Just a question
Wouldn't you need to have a muzzle velocity under the speed of sound to obtain long range accuracy with a 22?
Most of the time when supersonic bullets dip below the speed of sound they get destabilized
I would never depend on the double barrel by itself but as a first strike weapon it would be pretty lethal.
I know that energy between loads vary but I will use a load I am familiar with to paint a picture of just how powerful two barrels going off at once is.
A one ounce slug from a 12...
I thought this was the ruger thread. If you intend on using it in combat than 1 in 7 is the twist rate you want.
Not if you are intending to use it to go hunting with lighter bullets.

I have quite a bit...
Homeland security has priority contract with ammo companies. It's been continually expanding as well as many other law enforcement agencies.
Some of these agencies are requiring their agents to fire thousands of rounds a month for training.
Military has their own dedicated mil spec ammo...
52 grain match bullets will break up out of a 1 in 7 twist barrel.
1 in 9 will stablize bullets weighing 62 grains (ss109)
For hunting the .223 is best used against varmint animals. Bullets between 50 and 63 grains are usually the best all around for killing varmints.
We are talking...
They have to give CPS there name and address when they report something. CPS keeps the information confidential unless a repetitive and slanderous problem takes place.
They will never tell you who turned you in unless there are complications of repeated false reports.
But from what I...
