Here is a link to the states i can carry in.

Im hoping this is the right section as i couldnt find anything else close that would encompass this discussion.
Ill try and keep it short but detailed, But my life has been turned upside...
I post a week or two back about a fun project gun.
Looking at J&G i find this gun Yugo Tokarev M57 TT

Here is the deal, Id like to discuss this one certain test a guy did on .45acp 200gr +P Gold Dots that failed badly.
How can such a great round like the GD have just one certain load be a failure?
Or do you question the methods or ammo batch?
If you look at all his other testing everything...
Ive always done that with my 1911's as i feel they are "Owners repair" type gun unless it was to be a major defect like a frame or slide issue.
That wouldnt raise to many eyebrows, But this next move i think has made some people think im a little odd.
I have a Kahr MK9 and it shot perfectly...
Or im gonna have to branch out to a new hobby. Let me give you some details and i will try and be brief so you can see what would fit my personality and needs.
I own four guns, Three are for ccw and one is my HD shotgun.
My three ccw guns are a 5" 1911, A 3.5" 1911 both in .45acp and a Kahr...
I just returned from a local gun show and found what seemed like a reputable handloader and reloader and some of the bullet options were Nosler 115gr in 9mm and 185gr in .45acp.
I picked up a 100 of each at factory fmj load prices.
But ive never seen gel tests or any expansion tests on these...
The refinisher: http://www.shootiniron.com/index.html
After 2 months at the refinisher who did a complete media blast and then parkerized the gun and then put a coat of KG GunKote in satin black on it. I took my PT1911 that was a stock blued gun with 2k rounds threw it.
I stripped it to the...
I sent my 1911 out for refinishing after a bevel/melt job and i replaced the flgr plug with a solid end plug for a standard guide rod as i didn't know there was a difference. So i had the old plug with a hole in the end finished and the new plug thats solid at the end finished also.
And then i...
I have 2 guns i just bought within 1 week of each other so i have been breaking them in together.
1. Kahr MK9
2. RIA Officer CS .45
Both have 400-500 rounds threw them and have never had a single issue with standard power loads. But once i use +P loads ive had 2 failures with the Kahr and 3...
I thought id make this as easy and possibly fun as you can answer exactly what you want to (AS LONG AS IT EXISTS) and can be purchased.
Just so you know they only make T-Series and HST in 230gr bullets.
The load needs to be for a 3.5" barrel .45acp 1911 to maximize penetration, expansion, And...
The first time i used the mag i put about 100 flawless rounds threw it.
Today i go back to the range and nothing but issues.
Now either the mag spring is bunk, Or i assembled it wrong.
The issue was it wouldnt hold the slide back on the last round, and it also created one failure to go into...
Im thinking of getting a different gun and trading off my SA XD SC .40 but i have over 600 rounds of ammo. A few is in original boxs and alot is in reloaders plastic boxs as i find them easier to pack into ammo cans. But all are marked with the original end flaps off the box so i know what in...
My heart says yes, But my head says no.
Granted this is all i will carry in my 5" 1911, Ive been wracking my brain about what ammo to put in my new RIA 3.5" CS Officers.
My head says i have a 50/50 chance of it expanding reliably, But even then its just ball ammo which isnt all that bad...
I know deep down id be better off buying one from a pro as ive seen good ones at $60, But if i do that it will never fit perfectly.
But also i have tons of time as i dont work a real job, And ive been into ccw now 1.5 years so i know what guns i want to carry and where i want to carry them...
This is a Google pic as its the same exact color as mine and the same gun also.
What can i do to make them "Blackish" or alot darker as i don't like the light wood color or its orangeish tint.
I ordered some Ergo Polymer textured grips but not so sure how ill like them, But looks wise i...
My 1911 love has led me to this real piece of work and i have several questions as i knew the gun was good before buying, So that didn't bother me. But a few details im not sure on. Also here is a small bit of info from my first day of ownership.
Just so everyone knows this is the 3.5" bull...
I always looked at them and figured they were more of a Open carry type holster or a Service type holster. And wouldn't be a good fit for me.
But looking at them carefully i may have been misjudging them.
Since ive never used one and the directions said very little in how you wear it im...
I put this in the General HG section as its not such a hardcore facts question, But more of a "How not to settle, And still get the right gun" type of thread.
This year for X-Mas my folks asked me what i wanted and i replied "Cash again pls, I need another ccw gun". As its been cash for one...
Personally i have my CCW 1911 of 1 year at the refinisher after a complete rebuild with bevel/melt job and im wondering with so many finishes and process out there how they are doing for you.
PICS!! I really want to see current pics more than anything.
Of course a pic of when it was...
I just happened across these guns and im pretty sure i didn't know they made 1911's.
Many look pretty original even for standard 1911 spec'd guns.
