m1 carbine in a 10 22 stock

Would it be possible to mount an M1 carbine in a 10 22 stock.

People go the other way on that conversion, dropping a 10/22 into a modified (or new production ) M1 carbine stock.

Darn! Now I wil eventually have to go look! But not tonight or this long to us weekend (schools out for UF Gator homecomeing) I would think the Carbine action would sort of wallow around in that open space around the reciever and need some bedding there, while you would need to do some carving or routing for the operating rod and .........

I am guessing no.
