on a soapbox about gay marriage, now she's on about a meeting in a "secret" room in the capitol about a terrorism brief.
Geez if they didn't spout other crap they might have time to read bills before they vote on them......

In his capacity as senator from NV he must object to addressing the rail security act.
Looks like a repeat of yesterday. I wonder what other items of biz may be addressed when this class action bill is tabled for the day.
I am thinking the firearms biz protection from frivolouse law suits would be a related item for this bill. That would only open the door for AWBII.

Just told the Democrats they are full of it, the bill can pass but they are attempting non germane amendments to "poison" it because they really want it killed....
I.E. If you really want the bill to pass, let it!

Is reading them the riot act. He is spealing out the left's hypocricies. Looks like he is reading notes from 2002 and the 90s on the left's use of filling the tree.
And as was heard from one earlier recalling how he has been honestly telling constituents how the senate is doing nothing right now. Just treading water.
I should be recording this one. I think all relavent info on this bill is mentioned in addition to adequete responce to all objections to the rules in use.

Nothing happening... Hillary is up pointing out that they have yet to do any appropriations bills even though the fiscal year ends October 1st and they have yet to even take any of these up.

What a treat. I missed Barbara and Hillary earlier in the day, but I get to see Robert Byrd's non-stop anti-Bush rant. He say's we're wasting too much time on this Lawsuit Fairness Bill, while the important stuff is being ignored. (Supposedly the Appropriations Bill is his priority.) Hope he gets his way and they spend the next two weeks discussing the Appropriations and Homeland security bill. At his slooow drawl rate of speech, it'll go on past the election! (and the ban!)

Good news as the "No gay marriage" constitutional amendment is scheduled for next week. Debate on that should kill five legislative days easily enough while at the same time not advancing any legislation. If nothing else, it will get us that much closer to the deadline.

(sorry we don't have a gay face to post.This bird face will have to do) I can't wait to hear Mr. KKK Robert Byrd go on another sloooww rant. I can hear it now: "Where's the Appropriations Bill. What is wrong with our Republican President, and his Republican majority !!"They need to give him a bottle of Glycerine tablets with a pitcher of water and keep him up there until September 14.
