I'd get rid of the Glock and replace it with the old cowboy lever action rifle. someone help me out here...

and the M1 Garand

absolutly need the m1 garand, maybee an m14
dont think we really need the nagant on there do we? more of a low cost surplus rifle aquired in an attempt to be impressive on a budget, not a true man's weapon

nothing fully auto? no Thompson? list needs to be revised IMHO

I'd imagine that he'd say that 'real manly men don't need full-auto, they get it done with the first shot.'
Also, the M44 Mosin is on there because with it's short barrel it is beastly.

Where's the SPAS-12, the Desert Eagle
Those are considered to be poser guns, like those with pearl handled pimp pistols.

Let's remember guys, he only had a top 10, not a top 100, so there will be some great guns that weren't included.

Drop the Glock, drop the M-16, add the M-1 and the Winchester 1873, keep the insulting liberal comments.

The question posed by this thread is so fundamentally flawed and pointless. The discussion is pushed towards heavy and large as equaling manly, without people realizing that no such "manliest" competition between firearms even exists (let ALONE a superlative of "manliest" gun).

The truth is that firearm = manly.

The tool that WORKS, and is in the hands of a man who is capable of USING it = manly. There, as usual, logic solves the issue.

Who cares about the price rather that what a skilled rifleman can do with one of those?

I could not agree more... *cough* Zaitsev *cough* Anyone else hear that? :D

EDIT: Before anyone mentions it, I know that Zaitsev used a 91/30, not a M44, but the idea is the same.

Not only that...didn't Hayha use a Carcano for some time?

I might be wrong, but that looks like the muzzle of a Carcano, does it not?

[Ronnie Barrett] is a man so cool even his sperm smoke unfiltered Camels.

Priceless!

I'd definitely lose the SMLE, and add either an 1894, Colt SAA, or most likely, THE LIBERATOR. The author seems to be into the backstory of particular guns, and there's nothing more badass than a $.05 single-shot pistol created explicitly for slaughtering Nazis. I'd actually put it in the top three somewhere...

Real men don't select their weapons based on other people's opinions about what constitutes a manly gun. Real men also don't confuse what's on their hip with what's between their legs.

I do very much like the AR15 being accurate and effective, but I would not call it "manly". In fact, I would rate it somewhere in the "least manliest" spectrum.

Also, the K31? I have one and love it. However, if it wasn't imported for our C&R purchasing, it likely wouldn't have even been considered. I would drop the venerable AK as well.

I do agree with the addition of the M1 Garand, the SAA and M60. Those seemed to fit my idea of "manly".

Then again, opinions are like lips and, um... elbows. I, too, don't generally use the description "manly" or "sissy" when describing firearms. I don't mind playing along though.

I am pretty sure they are all made by Mattel :D
