Why does all the 1893 Turks have different stock hardware than this one I have? Could mine have been in the wrong furniture?

What about the mag cutoff? Most of these were cut off the actions during rebuild, why does this one remain? Is reactivation reasonable? Couldi grind it off? I was a mold grinder/polisher, so it's within my wheelhouse, and I have the tools. 20230417_125955.jpg 20230417_123734.jpg 20230424_115200.jpg 20230424_115135.jpg

It's a Turk. They had camel carts of mixed parts next to the assy line. I have one just like it. Leave it. The mag cut off is a plus because most were removed. I,ve seen several restored but don,t cut it off.

Thank you! It stays then.

How hard is it going to be to fit this into a 96 sweed stock I have comming from numrich? Will my springs and bands work on that stock?

This stock had much more hardware than I hoped for, in a "stripped stock". None of it I had so that's absolutely awesome. A farriers file makes short work of the mag cut out depression. The action still needs to go down in the stock a little more, but I'm taking it slow because I want a tight fit. The rear spring works on my original turk rear ring, so nothing to do there. But the front spring is different and I'll have to use mine. I need to change the pin high for the front cap. And I'm thinking about solidifying the nose of the stock, shouldn't that be more solid on the turk stock? Can someone show me their turk stock end, please? The top hand guard is coming along nicely, and will fit better as the action gets lower in the stock. Still lots but here's this for now thanks for looking!

20230428_082047.jpg Here's a picture I forgot, shows I still need to drop the action down about a eighth, the ring on the receiver is the hold up! and a tiny bit in the cutoff depression.
