Okay, just me and the dog reading Highroad threads while the wife and kids watch Cops, so here are a few.

These are the 1911's I have left. Have had several others before I figured out selling guns is a sin.

XavierBreath,

My first 1911 was an early Colt Combat Elite.

It evolved into a tricked out limited race gun with a 2lb. trigger pull and lots of custom work. Alas, I eventually shot it loose and traded it off.

Actually, the only 1911 derivative I currently own is a 1st generation Kimber Ultra CDP. It is a lightweight officer's sized gun that goes bang every time and has wonderful accuracy for a 3" gun. It has been one of my key CCW firearms for about nine years or so.

Still . . . I hate this thread . . . it makes me want more, more, MORE . . . and that's bad for this diehard revolver man!!!

I have 1911 Fever, Highly Contagious!! Beware.

Here is a picture of my Frankenstein Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 45. The grips, bobbed hammer, and Drop in Beavertail are all from my first 1911. A beautiful Colt Combat Commander in Satin Nickel, had to sell for financial reasons...:banghead:
But of course there is no cure for the 1911 Fever, once bitten you will always have to have at least one 1911... in very severe cases, you need 10 to 20. So far I have only the early symptoms and one 1911 is all I need, but of course the more time I spend on THR looking at all of these beautiful 1911's, the more likely my case will get worse. 1911 Fever is very rare in that it can be spread to other humans just by seeing other people's 1911's on the internet, very rare virus that can jump from computer to human. :D

Sorry for glare, not the best picture.

Here is my current line-up,
The charles daly is a sleeper among .45's you get a highly modified gun for the money. The longslide is just too cool, it's also a one hole gun at 15 yards, and a pic to compare the diff. 7" of barrel and slide, The decked out Kimber is a royal II that needs a front grip strap checkering. The last is my early first series Kimber of Oregon. I hate to admit it but the Daly has the best trigger of the bunch!
