1911 Grips - sizing question

I'm thinking about replacing the wood grips on my new S&W 1911 Sc (commander size) with rubber grips.

My question is are all the pistol grips the same size regardless of whether its a 5" or 4.25" gun?

IIRC, those two sizes are the same...However, with the Officer's model which is 3.625 barrel takes a smaller size...To be sure, always measure the center points of the grip holes for comparison or when you inquire on eBay prior to a bid...
A full-size 1911 is 3" between midpoints....

Does anyone happen to know the hex wrench size for these screws? Its pretty tiny and I don't have a wrench that fits I wish that it came with the regular slot screws.

I'll have to pick up some of those as well. :banghead:

Just go to walmart...I got a hex key set for 96 cents.
