Back over 20 years ago when I shot bullseye matches I'd say over half the guns on the line were Hi Standards. Considering they closed their doors in 1982, it said a lot for the quality and reliability of a Hi Standard target pistol. Most were Supermatic Citations, or similar models. About half were slant grip, and half military grip. I've got 4 original maagazines for mine. Had a couple aftermarket, but they were rarely 100% reliable.
Never seen any that weren't stamped steel sheet metal?

I have only seen a few High Standard's on the firing line, parts availability seems to be a major factor. If you bought lots of magazines, you may have a pile of stamped sheet metal, the value of, is close to silver, in terms of dollars per ounce.

I wonder about the PO's unmarked .45 barrels.

All are bare steel, and one is stepped slightly larger at the bushing area. The one in the gun is parkerized except for the area that is revealed at the ejection port. I didn't measure that barrel when I had it apart to compare to the spares. Have to measure it and see how it compares to the others.
