Wasn't it Bergmans that had one of the small islands in the East River that had MILLIONS of firearms they sold worldwide.

It was Bannerman's Island, but it was way further up the Hudson, maybe 60 miles north of NYC, near Beacon and Newburgh. He built a castle there, the remains are still, barely, standing.
