Hi there!

This spring I've been working on my weakest rifle shooting skill - the Snap Shot. To help with 2021-Covid-Cabin-Fever I thought it might make a good Brobee223 video...

Curious how others think about and practice their snap shots?

Best,

Brobee

"Snap shot" from FEB:

I practice a "version" of "snap shots" during just about every 3gun match...and PCC match. Just practice off hand starting from a low ready.

I was laughed at on another forum for suggesting this,no biggy.... laugh all you want;

I bought a <$10 to the door,1970's transistor metronome off evilbay. About the size of a small radio. Very basic functions. I use it in the.... beep,beep,beep,BOINK mode. The rates are adjustable.

When dry firing I was STRUGGLING to maintain a one,aimed and squeezed shot per second. You just have to practice.... pretty much all there is to it. But getting your numbers "down" and then sustaining that # is extremely tractable. The other "function" is as a check on your pulse... just keep dialing the rehostat until it matches your wrist pulse,then see what it is.

Pretty much it. Made HUGE inroads for not only offhand precision but also noted changes to bench work,trying to shoot in a condition. Good luck with your project.

that was a great video. narration, drone shots etc... did you work on your video voice? great voice over.

Thanks! It takes me a bit of practice before I can speak without a bunch of "uhhh, ummm, aaaahhh" getting in the way...kinda interesting how the process forces you to think about what you want to convey in your message!

That is very interesting....will experiment with it for-sure.
