Ok, so I have looked everywhere for a 357 SIG barrel for my 2340 with no luck. I contacted Sig Sauer directly and have not heard back yet.

In my effort to track one down I have seen some anecdotal evidence that suggest that the barrels from a 2022 and a 2340 are interchangeable. Can anyone confirm if this is in fact true or am I going to have to just plop down a couple of hundred bucks to confirm and pray.

Here's a link
I see these occasionally for sale as low as 100.00 on ebay. Not so often as I used to.
I do believe that the 2022 and 2340 barrels are interchangeable. Tempted many times to buy one myself.

LATE EDIT: Whoops ... this link is for the 40 S&W barrel not the .357 Sig but if the shoe fits ...............

That exact ad is what got me looking into this sigsmoker, and as I delved deeper, I found more references to it but I cannot find anything concrete, yet.

Sig Sauer has them in their store here. But the photo shows a barrel that appears to be a P series not a Pro series. I have not been able to find a photo of the 2022 barrel anywhere.

The difference between a 2022 and a 2340...not just the barrel, but the whole gun...are the model numbers.

SIG changed the designation of the whole SigPro line to reflect/honor their winning the French LE contract.

At one time, I had one of those "saved searches" on eBay with key words ( barrel sig .357 pro ) I would guess and clicked the box to get emailed when one was listed. Of course I had an eBay account. Every so often one would pop up. Then I'd hem and haw over buying it and decided I really didn't need it that bad.
I do recall in the past year missing the boat on one again and it was like 100 bucks or something. Somebody else grabbed it while I put it off.
If your link turns out to be the correct part, when you hear from Sigarms, let us know.
Your key words could be ( 2022 .357 barrel )

I thought the main difference was the rail. The 2022 having a standard rail for lasers and lights where the earlier 2340 had a specific groove for these accessorizes which I have. ( see attachment )
They later made an adapter that fit the 2340 groove to use the most common size/shape grooves on lasers etc..

I dunno tho, I never held a SP2022 to look it over ?

I got a 9mm conversion barrel for my 2340 from Bar-sto, it was a forum group buy years ago, it's really accurate, and has never given ANY trouble. It takes your current mags, and need no parts change other than the barrel.

I think I paid $160, IIRC.
My 2340 came in 357SIG, and a .40 barrel factory barrel for it was less than $200.

I was just at the Sig store for their barrels.
There appears to be 2 barrels in 357/40 ones with a loaded chamber indicator, and ones without.
Looks like threaded barrels are available, too.

This is good, and bad.
To me it means that (Most likely) the non LCI barrels would be interchangeable, and the LCI models would not.
Of course, the 9mm slides won't fit on the .40 frames, so I'd bet 9mm barrels are not interchangeable with .40/357, so a 9mm conversion barrel would be aftermarket only.
I would wait for confirmation from SIG, tho.
