The screw on my front sight on my fixed sight 22/45 seems to love to work itself loose after 300 rounds of shooting. It slowly unscrews itself about 1/4 of a turn every magazine after the barrel gets heated up.
I've tried to use blue Loctite to keep the screw from backing out, but no dice. The gun's fine other than for this, and it's really not that big a deal because it's just an inexpensive little plinker but it annoys me. I'm afraid to try a more permanent fix for fear if I ever needed or wanted to replace the sight, I could not.
I keep meaning to call Ruger to see if they'll at least send me a spare screw and maybe a spare front sight.
Am I stuck living with it? Anyone else have this problem?
