That picture could pass for Michigan, Walkalong. A perfect shady spot to shoot! But most of ours is National forest and they tend to frown on concreted posts…:D

That platform sure is coming along nicely. I certainly am a bit jealous.:)
I might be found out there even not shooting!

I wanted to sink two more posts just to the tight for the shelf space, but my old butt isn’t as fast as it used to be. It’s 4:30 here, and I’m pooped. Packing up to go home, a 40 minute drive. I had a Jacks biscuit this morning, but nothing except water and gatorade since then, I could eat a bite. :)

I forgot to cut the left front post off this am (before I woke up good is my excuse), so I’ll replace that deck board when I do, bought one extra, just for things like that

None of the bracing or deck boards touch the legs to the shooting table, just in case folks can’t be still

That's really clever. I assume there's enough space around the legs to allow for warping and such?

Made some more progress last Sunday afternoon, will likely finish it Tuesday as I have the day off.

Made some more progress today since the rains skipped a day. Took two days off, hope the sun shines tomorrow.

I took the day off today, spent it working at the .22 range. I hung a cowboy on chains between T-Posts, two sets of three targets
hanging on brackets attached to trees, and a large "easy" target for anyone who needs it. Put in close to eight hours. :)

Looks like a great place to bring a Partner press and do some load development.

I actually have a Partner press, but that’s the other deck.

    We christened the deck today.

My nephew and I giving the safety brief.

Three generations, aged four to seventy one. Bergara .22 LR on bipod and bag.

    My nephew coaching his youngest.

The grownups shot a few rounds as well. I just watched and did a little coaching. One child was afraid to shoot, so we didn't
make him, the youngest (2nd & 3rd pics) needed a lot of help, one needed us to get it on target, but the child above hit the
smallest part of the farthest target virtually on his own after we got him started. He did really well. We had a great time.
