Even tho .22 Short is not as powerful as .22 LR, that doesn't make it useless for small game or pest control, especially from a rifle. I have a Marlin XT-22 that works with Shorts, but last I remember, it's not very accurate with them.
I'm not a fan of this rifle, nor .22 LR bolt actions in general, but I would still like to have a non semi auto repeating .22 rifle, so lever actions and pump actions are preferred, but if you've found a bolt action or single shot that shoots .22 Short well, I'm all ears.
As to why I'm interested in .22 Short... that I cannot explain. Has certain benefits in regards to low noise and reduced ammo weight, but beyond that it's just dang fun to shoot.
