I lost one of the dang nipples to my genuine 1860 Colt Army in the grass recently. I was cleaning each nipple with a small wire brush while sipping a beer on my patio in the backyard. The temperature was about 72 F and the sun was shining - life was good until... Until my wire brush somehow caught the nipple I was holding in my hand and catapulted it into the grass behind me. I searched and searched through the grass for the wayward nipple with a magnet, but no joy.
I contacted Dixie about a replacement nipple and they are completely out of stock and don't know when or if they will get anymore in. I found Ampco (brass alloy) nipples from the Possibles Shop, but I would like to find a blue-steel nipple to match the other steel ones.
So, does anyone know where I can find a blue-steel nipple, .225" X 32 threads per inch? Used is OK.
Thanks and regards,
Jason
